Wicked Confused about Vitamins

Many nutritionist experts will agree that Zinc, Calcium, and Magnesium are 3 of the most essential building blocks of life. ZMA is becoming more and more popular. If these are all so great, why are they fucking with my face?

1.) Zinc or ZMA is claimed by many to cause/irritate acne.
2.) Iodine in multivitamins is rumoured to do the same.
3.) My skin doctor just put me on monocyclin (sp?) and the package says to stay away from calcium, magnesium, and zinc while taking the product because it hinders absorption of the medicine.

As of right now, the only vitamins I take are C,E, and Fish Oil...why are these so called essential vitamins (mentioned above) so detrimental to my life!
 
Well I know Zinc is a major topic in acne forums. People use it to treat acne but at the same time it makes it worse.

From what I understand is it helps w/ healing of the skin by speeding up its processes. That unfortunenaly can also cause acne to get worse.

People who do use zinc say when they it gets worse before it gets better, many start and quit. Alot say its not worth it.


I have a little zinc in my multi I end of w/ 100% usually, and I think my acne cleared up a bit when I stopped the multi, mabe from the zinc.

Not sure about its interferance w/ absorborbtion.


MAgnesium, I know is used to prevent noturnal legcramps in people but thats all I know about learned that when trying to help my mother out.
