Why volume trainers deny the truth of low volume training

Many guys just cannot handle the demands of high intensity training...

So you finally admit that your training methods are not for everyone...

Edited to add that Cuthbert is a hard training, intense, man.

I'll say one thing -

fast twitchers recover better with lower volume and mixed fiber/slower twitcher can use more volume

If HIT is the complete bomb and the "only way to train," then why do people make good gains on not-to-failure programs?

One of the reasons I like HST is that its principles explain why OTHER programs are successful at causing growth. HIT does nothing of the sort. Other programs are successful despite what HIT says about them. "Too much volume, not enough intensity!" Guess what, I grew!

I think it even funnier that AA, who has 2 years training experience and therefor is still a beginner, feels he is qualified to be telling people withg hugely advanced physiques, that they are not training with sufficient intensity...
With that much training experience, unless you have a drawer full of certificates or a doctorate, then you in fact know very little. You criticize a board full of people based soley on stuff that you have read. Even the top personal trainers, who train the elite athletes in all the given sports, will admit that not one single training system is optimal for everyone. So that is pretty impressive that you know more than all the top trainers

You mean I can't tell you how to train? :) :lmao:

I believe that Dr. Squat was in a conference with Louie Simmons and even said something to the effect of "I can't explain or understand how or why WSB works...but just look at their progress. Obviously it works very well."

I think you got something there, ccj. One cookie cutter routine will not work for everyone. You have to experiment to find what works best for you.

Like I said to debaser in another thread, my gains seems to be the best when I switch between opposite programs, doesnt matter which one I am using, the gains are always better when I go from one opposite to another

The studies that 'prove' HIT theory are little more than a circle jerk, Wescott referencing Carpanelli referencing Wescott ad nauseum.

Anyway, onto the point of Linder not training hard enough, you should probably download some of his workout clips before making that kind of statement. I don't think many other people on this forum train as hard.

Using myself as an example, I destroyed myself using 'scientfic' AJ style HIT for a long time with little or no gains. Of course I knew the reason I wasn't gaining, I wasn't training hard enough! So bring on the 'hyper' training every rep an assisted forced rep with over my 1RM with 2 big guys pressing down on the negative to make it even harder. Slow negative dips with my BW around my waist, pre exhaust & post exhaust until I puked, 20 rep squats followed by leg press, drop sets you name it I did it and I averaged a new injury every month from the 'safe' slow training. Speaking of slow how about SuperSlow, another winner there I saw my lifts drop by about 25% after a couple of months of that nonsense but it was so intense I had to lie down for 10 mins on the floor after every workout... so it must have been working, right?

Funnily enough I'm much bigger and stronger now I use an abbreviated low rep sub-failure routine.
