Which job would you take?

Current job

-Work Mon-Thurs 7:30am-6:00pm
-Health Insurance, no dental though
-Enjoyable, easy work, lots of internet time
-Cool boss
-Good retirement
-2 weeks vacation per year

New job offer

-Work Mon-Fri 7:45am-4:45pm
-Goverment job, which means government healthcare & retirement
-At the moment unsure about the exact nature of my work
-Start out making about $10,000 per year more than current job
-Probably more vacation/more Holidays off
-10 minutes from house as opposed to 30 minutes of my current job

That's all I know about the new job at this point. Basically would you be willing to put up with lazy government coworkers, work an extra day, and deal with multiple bosses to make more money?

So far #2 is outweighing the first. Closer commute, more money, government benefits, get home earlier every day.

I say go for it and give me your karma when you leave.

Man, hours, vaca time, days off - these things are like #8 on my list when weighing job offers. I"m no help here

Engineer Technician is the official title I think

As far as I know I will be doing renovation & new construction both field and cadd work, working with architects and contractors for the local V.A.

Having a structural background, this job should be cake.
