I think your right, I'll give it the ol' taste test and see. It's been in the dark and airtight, worth a look.

Hydrolisates usually claim 2-3 year shelf life, but really its more like ONE YEAR.

I've always found even plain whey to be OK tasting..
Sort of sweet milk tasting.
This stuff probably has flavoring and maybe Nutrasweet etc in it.

If you are using a Protein concentrate with Egg, Soy or Casein, I could see
it tasting not as good, no matter how fresh.

You can get away with up too a 1 year past expire but 9 years ummm no.
