when did these high doses become the right thing?

I'm sorry I must interject here as I agree with both sides to a degree but moreso with srf1452whatever. In my own experience, and having been on for quite some time (1 year straight) I can attest that after so long each pound comes after much hard earned work. The only time that I really gain a good deal of weight is when I add a new drug, but that is still only like 6-10 lbs. and half of that is water. I stay on test all the time but will throw in deca for instance for 3-4 months, then I'll drop the deca and throw in tren for 2 months, then drop the tren and throw in EQ for 4-5 months. I've heard so many stories on Dorian and how he used tha I really don't know what to believe. A national level competitor told me that what dorian would do was similar to what I'm doing except he only did one drug at a time eg. test then deca then tren then EQ and so on so his receptors would constantly be exposed to change, but I really don't know. I do know that no matter how good my diet is and I take 500mg of test c every 4 days and 500mg of deca a week, any muscle I gain is worked hard for, it does not come easy. My training partner and I have talked about upping our dosages to 3-4 grams a week just to see what would happen because I have more than enough stuff to do this, I'm just not so sure right now. I want to have everything dialed in before I go that high. I am looking to do a show in Chicago in the fall and will probably get crazy 2-3 months before the show. Who knows though.[/QUOTE]

how was the show?

Maybe high doses are the right thing though...if you have everything else in check why not if it works?

who knows what pro's take these days, i think people are still speculating what people took in the 70s and 80's

Great thread.......................

A couple of things

1. Dorian trained like a freak and used to 'hide away' in England, no public appearances, NADA.

2. I would also like to echo what Samoth has said, there is a distinct lack of knowledge regarding pharmacology, physiology, endocrinology, biochemistry.

3. The whole genetic aspect of the argument of how well someone puts on muscle or not is a bit of a double edged sword, yes we are all the same, but unique with a great deal of biochemical individuality. To use this individuality to justify some of the drug use though, think it is pushing it a bit.

4. Most of the guys in my gym train like pussies, and we are not talking a fitness club here. I also know that some of them never come off a cycle. I also get to see some of their blood results, clinical details..........you really do not want to be 23 with the test levels of a woman, depressed, and only recovering in a year to have test levels at the bottom end of normal, with bitch tits as well. Be sensible. (Same lad is planning another cycle, clever isn't he). I could go on with at least 10 other 'case studies'.

5. I love geared up and muscular men, but if their willy isn't working, what's the point. Shall I just sit there and marvel at your muscles?

6. Also in reference to the last point, what would you prefer, to look good through your twenties, or to look good and be healthy for your entire life? You are not immortal, and things that you do to your self as a teen ager and young adult could have a major impact on the quality of your life, and how you look as you get older.

I don't think there is anything 'wrong' with anything, drugs, food.......what I do think though is that THE POISON IS ALL IN THE DOSAGE.

why use more if you dont have to???

For the non pro, it's usually because they're shitty bodybuilders and the only progress they make is with gear so the answer to more progress is more gear.

If that is the case, and if you do not build muscle naturally first, you will never have an impressive body when "off."

high doses are not necessary, if anything IMO lower dosing is more beneficial especially over long haul, but that is only a small % of the equation, diet and training must be perfected in order for cycle to be beneficial. I agree with Nelson, many have
as you say crap diet, training so they turn to high dosed cycles.
