reading this article it states caffeine provides a 8-11% metabolic boost, which doesn't sound right. Can i get any other scientific verification that caffeine has such a strong boost on metabolic rate?
Also, what about taking low doses of caffeine more often. since caffeine has a 6 hour half life i'm thinking 200mg in the morning & 100 mg 6 hours later so it won't disturb sleep as much. i'd rather not go over 300 or so mg a day. if i take 200mg at 8am, 100mg 2pm and thats it that should provide maybe a 5-6% boost if the info in that article is correct. combined with the green tea i'm taking that should add up to a 10% or so metabolic boost, or another 360 calories a day.
