I LOVE the way you assume that my wife wasn't "consulted". Maybe YOU have to consult with your S/O whenever you want to open your mouth, but most don't.

btw - wife was 100% in agreement with me.

i know. i was referring to my other post on this thread.

i don't like fake conformists, or people who will keep the peace no matter what either. but i think that there are better ways to express yoruself w/o having to make everyone uncomfortable & embarassed. if you do that, then you are indirectly standing in the way of freedom of expression as people can't express themselves freely without feeling bad & hurting others.

No. The previous dinners were paid for by the respective parties. Meaning everyone paid for their own. Even the teachers.

btw - you guys seem to think that I made a huge deal about it.

This is what happened. I went to the person who set the deal up and aked for my check. She asked why. I told her. Some of the other husbandz(non-teachers) overheard this and got pissed really quickly. I told them my feelings when they asked and told them I was going to pay for mine and I really didn;t give a shit what they did.

Wasn't trying to force my opinions on anyone, but when I do for myself what I think is right, back the fuck off.
