weight class dilemma, also an anabolics question

ok I'll give the input you are looking for but it may not be what you want to hear. Pro-hormones no matter what the claim are going to work on someone your age as well as 3.2 beer works on Mule. Basically most pro-hormones out there are androgen molecules that with feedback from the body convert to either estro or test depending on what your body has more of, so a 75 year old man with low test would probably benefit from the ph. A teen like yourself would get a little estrogen out of it. All the newer ph that a dmso delivered ect, may work "better" so to speak but basically come with most if not all the sides of the real deal.

At your age, your strength is on a world class level. You have the genetic potential to break any record you want, and if you do it assisted that is your choice. The problem however is that if you get on anything that messes with your htpa in the next couple of years you will cause long term damage and instability to your test levels. Say you hop on a light cycle of var, and up your bench to 500 pounds, that would be incredible for someone your age and weight, but you will have to deal with coming off eventually and when you do there is no telling how your body will react. On the other hand if you work and train smart and get your bench up to 600+ by the time you are 21-22 and then get on, you may be able to chase 800 within a few years. The choice is yours, you can have a little bit of glory right now and then fade away or you can realize your potential and set some real records....try to think long term. Like I said it is your life, good luck

What is your bench like right now? I would stay where you are weight-wise for a little bit of time and see where your bench is and ifyou can increase it at this bw. If not... go back up a weight class.

And dont worry about AAS for at LEAST another five years, and probably longer

Great posts by supersizeme and IL.... like IL said, think long term... your body will be having some bigtime growth and hormonal spurts over the next 5-6 years... you will continue to make gains, and I am sure there will be periods of great gains in a short period of time..... the long term benefits or not touching any of that stuff at your age are huge....

i agree..your bench is world class and i would say you have a lot of genetic potential in ya to take ya to some freakish weights. just keep doing what your doing now and do it the natural way. tb

jeremys,

skip the prohormones and save your money for other things, they are largely a waste of money and will cuase you more estrogen related problems than aas will.

also wait for a while to use aas, there is no reason to even think about it at your age. right now you are in the most anabolic state of your life, take advantage of it. stop with all the cutting and gain weight, get bigger, and get stronger. why spend these years of your life trying to lose weight, when you can put on alot of muscle?

i appreciate the responses

the original plan (and im going to stick to it) is push it as far as i can naturally. how far that is, i dont know. but im GUESSING that within the next couple years, gains will slow way down.

i didnt mean that i'd start any kind of anabolics RIGHT NOW, but, in the future, it will no doubt be an issue to consider. i guess i could've waited a long time to ask about that

500 will fall naturally on either january 24th at bill carpenter's apf meet of on april 3rd in the wisconsin's best bench meet. after that, anything is pure speculation. but there's not a doubt in my mind 500 will fall

liftbig, you ask why i want to cut. frankly, because i'm a vain bastard. i pull more chicks when leaner. cant say my self esteem is too high right now. in fact i've been feeling really down lately..i dont know..

thank you all for the responses. i really appreciate it

I think your questions about the AAS and PHs are covered.

As for what weight class to go into, it really depends on the individual. There is kind of an optimum weight for everyone. For some, it is 181. For others it is SHW. Once you go past that optimum weight, your lifts will still increase, but you will not be as good relative to other lifters in that weight class.

As someone who is 6'2 with a relatively large mesomorph type frame, I'm fairly sure my optimum is 275. I'm 255 right now. For a long while I would lift in the 220s chasing the records. While I did fairly well, that was not my optimum weight class. I'm much better at 242 and even better as a 275.

It will take some experimentation. Look at the top 100 lists. In which weight class do you think you will ultimately be able to get higher on the list?
