We Were Soldiers.......

Great, great war movie. Had more realism than about any other I've seen.

Gibson was credible but I liked Elliot the best. Especially when he noted that "General Custer was a pussy." Or "If any of you calls me grandpa, I'll kill ya."

I can't figure out why they started the movie talking about how a helicopter pilot was too tall. I can not for the life of me figure out why someones height should make any difference. Maybe in the mind of a grade schooler but i guess some people never grow up.

It really got to me when the wives started recieving the telegrams that their husbands had been killed in action. Telegrams delivered by a taxi cab driver. What class.

Politicians should leave the soldiers alone. Politicians make horrible military decisions. What are their qualifications anyway? A monster ego?

Vietnam was as screwed up as a war could possibly be. We never did recognize that the Vietnamese were simply good soldiers themselves. Loads of experience too. I think they defeated both France and England before us. May be wrong about England though.

You got to see this movie. It has about every merit a movie could have.

I'll be dragged to see this guy flick on Friday...NO DOUBT!

I'll cry and make a damn fool of myself at the show for sure!

Nam is a very faint memory...and a very sad one in my life. I can recall many of my parents pals/family members receiveing these Telegrams about their sons and loved ones killed....

Our men and women in the forces are allllll hero's to this country and it's people.

excellent movie....very touching i got teary eyed... but kinda like any other war movie where the soldiers go to war and the family is left behind.. and the one that shouldn't die always dies...

mel was great like always and played the part umbelievably great. especially the end with the reporter....nuff said i don't want to ruin it for those who haven't seen it.

I saw it last night, it was a very good movie, highly recommended.

Me too...I seen Ice Age today. It didn't have near the impact.

Look for my review in a few minutes. God....I just love some of our movies. You got to give America credit for producing some kick ass movies.

No way that Black Hawk Down was a better movie. I liked BHD but it was a small scale war movie lacking good character development.

BHD was much simpler to make. I like more complex movies.

i saw it last week. great movie. i loved it. i did tear up several times. the bombings were awsome, napalm rocks. i've said it once and i'll say it again, we had no business in vietnam. none.
