Training Chest, Tricep and Shoulders in succession

The Red Dragon

New member
How would you manage that? I tried it several times but it seems as though the anterior deltoids/triceps are beaten to shit & that results in lighter lifts during subsequent movements. Is there anyway around this?...other than switching the routine around?

Yeah, I do the same thing but triceps are certainly last in the succession. I start with the compound movements which will hit all three of the muscle groups ie. bench, incline db press. and then move onto db flys. I will then do overhead presses and then move onto more specific shoulder exercises. For triceps I will do a lying e-zbar extension or db extension and then move onto the v-bar cable pull downs. I have seen good results with these lifts but you have to keep the time in between each set a little bit longer as it easy to get fatigued and over-do it.

I do 2 sets chest, 2 shoulders (burnt already), 2 tricep. I should probably put the back movements in between.
Thanks karma for all.

DC set up, I'd rather it be changed too but it allows 4 days for the muscles to heal before getting hit again...I might change it if I find it to be a continuing nuissance
