digi I was not saying you're from a hick town not sure why you read that.
All I'm saying and have been saying through this is that it makes no sense to just spin them on the balancer you might as well just take off the old weights and balance them then charge the customer. the tech does not and should not care if the wheels are already balanced. the friggin customer is paying you to balance them and expects to see new shiny weights even if they are placed where the old ones were.
logic or not, you way adds an extra step to the process.
I have no doubt that your shop does it your way.
