The Patriot Act in Work

Patriot act just created new laws to deal with a new era of terrorism. Without it -- the 19 terrorist would never have been convicted, cuz there were no witnesses (all dead), and it would've been impossible to prove WHO directed the plane into the building. It was a simple hijacking, and the gov't would've had no way to prove that Mohammed wasn't just following orders cuz he was getting paid $50,000 and told they'd just land and get off.

Patriot act just made sure the gov't had enough rights to PROTECT the country, and terrorists couldn't have a field day with our lovely justice system with it's plethora of loopholes and foreign country exclusions.

Meaning: A terrorist could BLOW UP LA and kill millions. Run to mexico. And mexico would never extradite him cuz of the deaht penalty. He'd be released and free forever.

The average CNN watching sheep NEVER considers all the different scenarios and complexities of the rule of law. They just think simple little concepts like "Oh mygod! they're gonna spy on me when i'm at work, and just throw me in jail for fun!".

If they want to live in aland, where terrorists can do whatever they want and get away with it -- move to Canada. All Canadian Police can do is ask "Are you a terrorist?" and they have no more power to do anything else. They could see a "blueprint of nuclear reactors" sitting in your backseat and STILL have no power to stop you or search your car.

the patriot attacks domestic terrorism. when someone has ties with terrorism or ties to "influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion" , he or she will relinquish his or her rights in accordance with the patriot act and federal and state laws. if the person has peaceful intentions, and does not advocate terrorism, then he or she cannot be targeted under the patriot act.

if you can, could you please bring up some articles in which people go public about the patriot act violating their rights?

Imagine the "Patriot Act" circa 1770s, with the british and the terrorist americans...

It is as Benjamin Franklin famously said: "Those who would give up essential liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither."
