I loved that speech at the end. I downloaded it and now play it from time to time.

Yeah, some people suggest that Chris Nolan created The Dark Knight as a representation of the W presidency.

Evil that cannot be negotiated with wreaks havoc. Hero has to make tough choices knowing that the public will not like or respect what he does. Hero wins in the end, but people are still pissed off at him. Hero is fine with that because he did what was needed.
