Hi everyone, I have just signed up here as I have a question which people may find a little off from the usual.
Basically I am a transgendered male, which means that although I identity as male I was born with a female body. I have had surgery and have been prescribed testosterone injections to masculinize my body (although it was always pretty male looking anyway!).
(if anyone reading has a problem with this, please don't bother to read further or reply. I have no interest in getting involved in an internet argument or debate, I'm just here to share training info not get involved in a crusade).
I have been injecting testosterone enanthate for the past yr and 6 mnths at 100mg every 10 days and I have got the desired androgenic effects i.e facial hair etc. What I would like to know is whether this dose is sufficient to cause a noticable change in my muscle bulk or whether I should increase it a little? As the andro changes are normal and my T levels are within the male range, my endocrinologist is happy to leave my dose where it is. However although I have gained a little bit more mass it hasn't been as much as I would have hoped given my effort in training and eating! In reading the stuff on here, it seems females are advised to only take about 50mg of T every 7 days to avoid unwanted andro effects, given that I have and want these effects does anyone have any input on what dose would work?? I see females on steroids who look more built than me and I'm fed up of looking like an average fit guy!
I know this is probably outside of most peoples experiences, but I just want to find out as much as poss and try and add some more muscle to my frame. Some info if it helps is: I have been training for over 10 yrs and am very consistent and disciplined with both my training and diet, although I am always finding ways to improve both of these (you never stop learning!)
I am currently 12 stone at 5'5" (started as a skinny 20yr old, 9 stone twig!) but would like to be at least 13-14 stone. Do people think a 8-10 week cycle, where I ramp up the T before going back to my current level will help here?
