Squats immediately before spinning?

I'm trying to figure outwhen to fit my leg day in. I currently lift Monday and Thursday/Friday, kickbox Saturday, Spinning Wednesday, and run Sunday. Problem is that my legs are usually pretty tired Monday after a hard run on Sunday and I'd still be recovering Saturday (when I kickbox) from lifting Friday. Maybe I'm just getting paranoid about giving my legs enough recovery and not overtraining. I'm playing with the idea of Doing legs (based on heavy squats) immediately before my spinning class on Wednesday. I could still easily get a good cardio workout spinning even if my legs are beat. Any reason 45min of leg-intensive cardio after legs would hinder progress? Or is it fine to kickbox the day after legs? We do a fair amount of squat and lunge movements but now weights.

Can't you spin on Monday and just squat on Wednesday?

Doing both together seems counter productive.

Then drop the spinning class.
Try and find a different cardio if you feel you must have another day.

Thanks for the advice but I'm not dropping the class. Triathlon season is coming and I'm training. My goal here is to find the best day to do legs, considering the schedule limitations I have...spinning (wed), kickboxing (sat), and running (sun) days are set in stone. I lift on Monday and Friday mostly but I could switch to or add Tuesday to lift. I currently do a full-body type lifting session twice a week with squats on one day and deads on the other. I could split squats out on a third day...either Tuesday or Wednesday...or put them on one of my main lifting days...Monday and Friday.

Honestly i dont see a major prob with doing legs then spinning. Are your tiathlons for fun or competition?? tell us what your goals and priorities are and maybe we could help you better with that in mind

The tris are just for fun this season...and only sprint distance. I'll probably do an Olympic distance next year and like to do a full IronMan before I turn 35...5 years. My goals are 1) gradually build lean mass 2) maintain/improve the lean look I'v got from dieting down the last 3 months (lost 20lbs and am now about 9% BF) 3) inclease my overall conditioning for the summer road race and triathlon season. I just added the kickboxing and spinning classes last week for some variety. Right now I don't do any direct arm work but I tried hitting arms after kickboxing yesterday and I like it...I'm plenty warm and can go right into working sets since we finish off the class with some light db work. I think I'll probably try squats on spinning day and see how I feel. Unless someone has a better idea.
