Shoulder Pain

PolandSpring said:
Treatment includes rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE), gentle exercise, stopping smoking, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs). Smoking can interfere with healing of tendinitis by decreasing blood supply and collagen metabolism. A sling may be used temporarily for comfort. Rarely, surgery is recommended if home treatment does not help.
These kinds of "treatments" crack me up. They go off on how smoking can interfere with healing because it decreases blood flow yet they say to use ICE which causes restriction of blood vessels and reduced blood flow and hence reduced healing. The inflamation in and of itself increases bloodflow, this is one reason injuries are often read, taking NSAIDS to reduce swelling also has a negative impact on healing. The fucking medical community is a joke, almost as bad as our government, full of hypocritical mumbo jumbo.

Sounds like its the biceps labrum. I had the same injury, eventually leading to scoping my shoulder. What I did do was put dmso on my shoulder before and after my surgery. It seemed to help. Of course deca will always help shoulder pain.

Yes, flat benching aggravated the pain as well. I have been just doing inclines for the last month or so, and just doing flat benches occasionally. That has helped. When I do my shoulder workout it actually hurts a little bit the first couple of sets but then it feels better. I do not know if the tendon is maybe getting loosened up? The pain is in the front, not the side or rear.

I think I will buy some deca again. I have not done any the last few cycles, maybe I will do some in the next.

a good rule of thumb with shoulder probs is to take some time and work hard on th exercise that do not aggravate it

usually you can still hit the areas ya need to but ya may have to eliminate a few faves

better to go hard where ya can than to do things to just maintain the injury

IF I WAS YOU I WOULD STOP DOING BICEPS FOR A WHILE(IF YOU SPEAK TO A PT HE WILL RECOMEND YOU TO NEVER EX YOUR BICEPS) , GOING TO A 90 DEGREE ANGLE WHEN WORKING YOUR CHEST TO SAVE YOUR ROTATOR,ALSO A LOT OF LATS,CHEST AND SHOULDER STRETCHING, SOME ROTATOR EX. I WOULD KEEP WORKING HARD AROND THAT INJURY ESPECIALLY ON THOSE MUSCLE THAT CAN CORRECT YOUR POSTURE AND IMBALANCES. GOOD LUCK

Hey Bro,

I have a similar shoulder pain problem that killed my training. I am undergoing ART or Alternate Release Technique therapy which is basically intense stretching peformed on you by a specially trained chiropractor. It really seems to break up the cartilage build up and tightening in the shoulders. Search ART or Alternate Release Technique here for more information, it has been discussed at length. Good luck!
