Search warrant/controlled delv. on 1 days notice?

Wondering if this is a realalistic situation. If one had a package coming from not to far away(400miles, max) overnight/expressed thru USPS, would it be realalistic for them to stop the package, obtain a search warrant to open it(express requires a warrant, correct?) then setup a controlled delivery the next morning(package goes out in the afternoon so not even a full 24hrs) at the destination? Can they operate this fast? It would be out of state so they would have to work with not only one states people but anothers, plus involve the courts, dea and whatever else they do? Just curious????

in most districts it takes less than 2 hours to get a search warrant. there are fbi and dea agents in every state, almost every county. it would be easy to make a phone call from an office in one town to an office in another state and have them get a search warrant and be at your door for a controlled delivery at the time the package is scheduled to arrive, without you ever suspecting anything. if you're really worried just make sure you have nothing else in your house at the time including computer records. you will be let off easily if all they can get you on is the contents of the package.

This is the government we are talking about. If it is a small pack of juice and it gets there on time. Don't worry.

I wouldn't worry. I like to ship USPS because of their policy on opening packages. UPS blows.

pretty sure UPS doesn't require a search warrent to open your pack, only USPS.
That is correct, from my understanding. Fedex and UPS and all the other carriers can open at their discretion, but express parcels from USPS require a warrant. Correct me if I am wrong.......Any more thoughts on this, can they really get warrants and coordinate with multiple other people/depts/agency's in a matter of less than 24hrs to pop you?

Nautica,
Well, what if it is a big pack, like a 3k or so in dollar amount and they have suspicion for one reason or the other? You think it can be done within 24hrs?

I don't see anything to worry about as long as everything is packaged correctly. 9 times out of 10 the only reason anyone would open a package is because something like an amp breaks, unless of course your source gets busted. As long as there are no records showing you own the product or sent your guy any money i don't see what they can do. Just deny all knowledge of the package and don't let them trick you into confessing. Stick to your story and they can't do shit. You have no control over what people send you.

how is it for across the boarders? when a package sent through usps gets to customs, does customs need a search warrant to open the package. I don't think so
