Rotator cuff injury / shoulder routine

Injured my rotator cuff side-arming a light weight box into a trailer at work. I felt a slight pull, but stretched it out and thought nothing of it. I went heavy on shoulder exercises for the next month, but found it more and more painful each time. I've layed off for the last two weeks, but did some stregthening excercises with bands and a few light weight front and side lateral raises on cables today without pain. Does anyone have a good routine to rehab? I was told I could do anything but overhead presses by a buddy of mine. Any ideas?
 
Don't ever stop doing your rotater cuff exercises. takes time to heal. don't ever let your elbows back past your shoulder when doing any lifts. you might also want to try machines for a while.
 
Well dont do incline bench thats for sure....I was down for 3 years over that shit...Id say dont event work it for 2 or more weeks then start on your bands,only because you will do is inflame it more its not like a muscle pull.
Mine never healed i just grew alot of muscle to support it.It still hurts depending which way my arm jerks....But you do what you feel you need to, this is just my opinion.....
