That's O.k... I think I'm going to take your advice and make this my last week with splenda and the pop... We'll see :)

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Good to hear mom is up and around. Sounds like she's feeling much better!

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Just catching up on your log, Tre, and I'm so happy to hear of your mom's recovery!:rose::heart:And I'm glad to hear your parents are coming to your show to support you. It is always nice to have that support from the family and know they are a few steps closer to actually getting it.

Btw, everyone has said it already but it's worth repeating: VERY NICE avi!!!

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Hey Treil! Good news about mom. :)

Thanks for the splenda reminder. I guess I'm going to cut that out too very soon. Do you think there's any reason to cut out spices like garlic or pepper? I don't use ones now that have salt, but I wasn't sure about those...

Personally I haven't had any issues with Mrs. Dash or any of the other spices that don't have salt so I will keep them in unless told by my trainer with a good reason that they must go.
Do you know what splenda does? Why people cut it out? I'm only taking it out because it's a chemical substance and I don't want anything jacking with my progress.

She looks like it... still walks slow, and personally this whole thing has really aged her. She is like a 65 year old instead of 53.
We'll get her back to her real age though

I'm sure she'll bounce back. Her body has just been thru some traumatic surgery....not to mention the other unknown happenings. With you as her daughter - I'm sure she'll be back better than ever in no time. You have got to be one hell of an inspiration to her - and I'm sure she'll want to show you she can do it.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

I was going to ask you the same thing. I don't really understand the "food science" behind cutting out things like splenda and other substances. I guess anything that's not completely natural makes can delay your body's progress....maybe because it's too busy processing that crap??

Thanks lady!

....

Recently I had her start taking Coenzyme-Q10 at about 100 mg 3 times a day. Normal person takes about 100mg a day. It has no known toxicity, and will help her with energy levels and getting back to feeling herself.

This topic and the info is near and dear to my heart... But - this is your competition log so tell me if I'm jacking your tread and talk about our moms!! My mom can be strict with her diet. About 1.5 years ago, I gave her some guidelines and sample meal plans and she did great. 30 pounds fell off quickly without exercise. But the weight came back. Now she's joined the gym but doesn't put much effort into it. I know her asthema/breathing and continued knee problems are directly related to the weight. But she doesn't always have the engery to workout. Which could also be directly related to diet. Endless circle... I do want to look at the Coenzyme-Q10.
