Feeling much better!! I thought maybe it was the ezekial bread but it only has 3g of fiber... I haven't had much fiber in awhile.. Maybe it decided to clean me up???
Either way Thank God it passed! It was something in that breakfast...
Thanks for your concerns!
Treil - I have this sometimes. Actually once or twice a year. Cold sweat, have to breathe thru the pain, feeling like you're going to pass out, can't stand up, in fact, can barely talk for the pain. Mine are totally diet related.

Glad you're feelin' better - from the above and mentally!

PS: M is an ASS for his advise on the shoot!!!!!!

Yeah... well... it could all be good in the long run of things!
I have been researching modeling around the Detroit area this weekend with a push from a fellow EFer.... I have been talking to the owner of this modeling place all morning. I think they will pay for me to have a photo shoot done. I also looked and I would be the only redhead they have. It's not quite the 'fitness' modeling I'm shooting for. It's more swimsuit stuff. Heck gotta start somewhere I suppose.
It's in the Detroit area and they are putting together a calendar right now. I told him I leave out for Europe but that's didn't dissuade him... So I dunno. Some lady is supposed to call me either tonight or tomorrow about setting up an interview.
So we'll see....

Well, a few times I know it was caffiene. It would happen after having a latte. Sometimes I don't know why. I can tell you though that if things aren't kept *ahem* regular it will happen more - for me anyway.

Weekend was good, internal affairs going well - lol

Glad you're back on track, Girl!

I've had those reactions with: cantaloupe (won't eat it anymore) or something that was bad or didn't agree with me.....could have been a very mild form of food poisoning possibly - that's the main times I'v had that reaction to foods....

YEah well I have figured if I don't keep a baseline diet I am more apt to eat bad foods. So I will now always keep a regular baseline diet.. and throw foods in on the weekend for cheats. So pretty blah.. but whatever it takes to not turn into a moose again!

Knock 'em dead - you know the only opportunity you know won't pan out is the one you don't pursue. If you pigeonhole yourself too far you first won't get the experience & exposure that you need and second, it will limit the range of what you imagine and demonstrate that you can do. "Modeling" is rarely something you set out to do & succeed at exactly what you want and only what you want - its more a matter of you being what the photog or the opportunity needs. So WORK IT! You may find you don't like it or may find some aspect of it besides just the part in front of the camera that you like better. Just go for it!

BTW -- also remember that when someone tells you to NOT do something or even to DO something, remember that they are always going to be speaking from their point of view and their context. Its not a bad thing to take their input into consideration, but always remember that only you are going to be making decisions that get you to where you are going.

You are so right!! I'm learning my mentor! I figured I would love personal training and I tried it out and yeah.. not all it's cracked up to be.
Yes I know it was an opinion... He's a VERY strong opiniated person... Ask the peeps that met him. I really didn't have anything to go off of.. so I figured becasue he was pretty adiment about it that maybe I should take a step back and re-evaluate the whole modeling thing. Then after hearing all of you I decided o.k. well maybe I need to find a different route... and so that's what I'm doing. I know what one desires is not usually ever the first opportunity.. It's the one way deep that you have to work towards. So I'm starting to dig.... Who knows.. like you said sometimes it's not all it's cracked up to be, but I will see and let you know
I found a picture of me at the Arnold Sassy... I was in shock.. actually it's wierd I looked at it and was like I was that big? When you look at yourself all the time I guess you kinda become numb to it.. I dunno.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Good luck with the modeling Treil!!! Tough business to break into with some shady characters and casting directors that's for sure but I have total confidence that you will do great. :rose: Best of luck as always.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

O.k. so my first time back to the gym... and I got the warmest welcoming... UMMMmm YEAHhhhh
First one of the girls competing on August 12th looks at me and said,"So does it bother you that you've put back on a bunch of weight?" Hmmmmmm How do I take that one?!?! Then... Some guy pokes me in the stomach and makes this wierd look at me. Hmmmm maybe a moose two backhanded compliment. Here I thought I was doing o.k... obviously I'm not going to look like I did on a diet down.. and obviously I have a shit load of water retention right now... but DAMN. So then I'm killing legs and looking in the mirror thinking man I have put some weight on. KILL LEGS is all I could think of.
So my EX - trainer walks by with one of the girls not competing this year and says,"Yeah I was training my volleyball player and she asked how you did in competition and I told her how (the other girl did) and then I said your name and went DAMN I totally forgot to call and talk to her this past weekend!" So in front of him and the other girl I said calmly,"That's o.k. I have my own training plan I put together don't worry about me any more I think you have enough on your plate." Started walking and said,"I can't talk now it's time for my next set." This was after all the comments towards me... He said,"WOW..." The other girl started laughing. Then I was doing walking lunges he walks by says something (headphones on now) and I said,"What I can't hear you, nor can I stop I'm in the middle of a set." The other girl walking behind him laughing and I just gave her the, oh well look. So needless to say.. I KILLED legs, weights went up, and now I feel like a moose... where's my moose avatar?!?!
You know this is what scared me the most. I was going to have him walk me all the way through everything and then I saw what happened to the other girl last year after her show (balooned to about 40% body fat) and that he was going to leave me hanging... Shit I should have known to never count on anyone! Well my diet is tight now... And it's going to take time to get back to homeostatis... Maybe I should wear a damn Burka.

At least Golf was fun. Played against my boss. Maybe I'll get a good raise next year.. my pants I used to wear kept falling off me about and I had a thong on.. I really hope he didn't see it as I was crouched down every hole looking at my putt... :whatever:
What a day..

Treil, you take that ava down right now!

I feel like telling the people at your gym to Kiss MY ass. I have heard that you retain water after a comp. You know the score. and you looked fabulous before and I AM SURE you do now. You worked hard and accomplished something that people only dream of doing but never want to work hard enough or give the determination to try. BUT YOU DID!!!!

I am proud of the way you handled yourself at the gym and keep holding your head up high!

and take the ava down!

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Well the answer to that dumbass comment about gaining back weight - Shit its just the body's natural way of responding to the short term manipulation. Besides, its just water weight. You're just going to ease back into a good off-season state and kill that shit.

Or better yet, just say "Hey, its just part of competition!"

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Shows the lack of class 99 percent of the people have. (That remaining 1 percent is reserved for us EF'ers. :)) That trainer shouldn't get an ounce of your energy or time. You look great and whatever you gained was expected water retention that will go away. And the other avi looked much better. :)

Yeah You are right Vel... I guess I just wasn't prepared for people's reactions post show. I mean I have been to work and some of the girl's that went to my show have seen me and I know they would say something because we have talked about the post show stuff. So I suppose 'gym' people who you think would be more understanding are actually WAY more ignorant!

It didn't help I was already spun up to work out, I had already completed my first a.m. HIIT session, walked 9 holes of golf up and down hill, and hadn't heard from M, and he wasn't supposed to be at the gym because of some work related stuff... and he was training a girl that decided not to compete this year..

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

G'morning Tre! :coffee: I saw this on the Oxygen forum and thought I'd post it in your log. I'm sure it's nothing you don't know already, but just know your moose feelings are completely unwarranted!

Advice from Experts: How to Control a Rebound
Lee Labrada:

When done correctly, a methodical reduction in the amount of carbohydrates can help you achieve your ideal shape. To maintain your physique after a competition, you have to follow the natural laws of metabolism: base your diet on small, frequent feedings, consume adequate protein to maintain muscle mass (the foundation of metabolism) and manipulate carbohydrate and fat calories to meet your energy needs.

Keith Klein, founder of the Institute of Eating Management:

Even if your intentions are to stay lean after a contest, when you start eating more normally, your brain is going to turn up your appetite. The body doesn’t know the difference between true starvation and the purposeful withholding of food. Have an exit strategy with a formula that will work for you. For example, when the competition is over, celebrate and eat whatever you want that night and for brunch the next day. But on Monday, resume your clean eating, except for a “cheat day” once per week.

Hal Louis, founder of Better Reflections:

If it took you 12 weeks to get into contest shape, allow at least 8 weeks to return to an eating program that you can maintain for life, slowly adding back small portions of “normal” food. Continue with your cardio and weight training, and strive to stay within 10-15 lbs. of your competition weight. Remember that you have achieved what millions fail to do every day!

You're really on track I see. Good for you. How are you mentally adjusting post comp? It has been hard for me. I feel like such a fat ass. I can totally relate to the moose avi...I thought about making mine a cow.

Doing much better now!!! I have diet and training about 90% under control.
Someone snuck bleu cheese on my turkey though.. So I guess I have to eat it :lmao:
I'm glad to see you are back on here posting! It's tough.. but I think what has made it easier is being on here and having friends on here keep me in check and calling me... Seeing their diets and realizing again that it's a life style not an event, not a diet... but that if I want it to be easier to diet down next year there will be noway in heck I'm letting myself get back up to 33% body fat... I guess that's my motivation. Looking at how hard I had to work to get it off. Also.. I like the leaner look... The fat on my arms and stomach just is not appeasing to me!
If you ever need to pm or talk feel free girl!!!

No sore before I went to tae bo, :lmao: I didn't even hardly break a sweat.. Probably 'cuz of all the cardio I did over the past 4 months. It was fun, I think I'm going to add it in on tuesday's and thursday's.
Actually helped stretch my legs some. My upper quads, Tensor Facsciae latae muscle, lats, and arms are sooo sore. I have arms tonight! I think it was from the pull ups on tues.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

So I totally KILLED my arms. By the time I left the gym I couldn't even bend them to 90 degrees... this should be fun.. I can hardly stand from legs on monday, and now my arms will be toasted. Legs again tomorrow... they better get unsore!
The other competitor asked me to help her after the show. I'm thinking she realizes 'M' is going to be to busy to help her and she does not want to blow back up to 40%. So..... She said she thinks I look really good especially after a first show and wants to see my diet training everything because she needs an inspiration. So that was cool to hear.

Had an o.k. gym work-out. Many interruptions today asking about the show. I keep getting asked if I'm doing the second show the other 2 girl's are doing. I'm like no that's uhhh in 2 weeks.. I'm sitting here thinking do I look show ready??!!! NOOooo. Another back handed compliment too. One of the guys was saying so you can eat whatever you want.. I was like no I'm still pretty much on a clean diet-life-style, and I've only put on 5 pounds since the show. He said,"Really??? THAT's IT????" as he looks up and down. Umm no I'm lying Jack @ss!Then the other funny part he said,"Yeah did you see (my trainer) he had a bunch of fitness people go to the show!" I said,"Really???!?" he said,"Yeah I met some at the club and I didn't know he knew all those people."I was busting up laughing," I said... Honey those are MYYyyyy Peeps!"
"(My trainer) Only wished they were his peeps!" He said,"Ohhhh." And again (my EX Trainer) 100% confirmation he is ignoring and avoiding me. GOOD! :kapow:

JULY 30 2006
DAMN HUNGARIAN FESTIVITIES!
ERrrr
Mood = Awesome, GUILTY
Weight = We are not even going there
One more wedding in 2 weeks before I leave out. My friend is now into working out THANK GOD!!!! She wants to work-out with me in Budapest so she is looking into a gym!! We got the hill picked out for HIIT training, and this is dedication... We'll have to take a bus, to get on a tram, to then walk to get to the gym in the mornings.
I guess we will be hiking and walking all over that place up and down the mountains so I'm not worried about cardio so much. If I can get into a gym and get some weights accomplished I'll be a happy girl! At least I won't have to worry about interruptions.. I won't understand them anyway.. and hopefully they won't understand me HA HA HA

So today... no weights, cardio
Mowing the lawn, and going swimming with my niece's.

Beautiful and HUMID out!
Have a good Sunday all ;)

You probably do look show ready T

ignoring & avoiding? WTF .. I will happily drive to *insert your city* to lay down a Stiletto whipping ...

This time I'm flying though

What are you saying the drive sucked :lmao: Construction eh!!!
Yeah M is a complete idiot... He talks so loud in the gym now that even with your headphones on you can hear what he is saying! He leaves out the same day I leave. So when I come back from Hungary I won't have to worry about seeing him any more. O.k. well I'm sure I'll see him again... When he returns here and there.

Say hi to your crazy Hungarian friend for me! :FRlol: Very cool that she's now into working out also. That is dedication to get to the gym, but if you want it bad enough, you guys will make it over.

I am in the same mood as you with last night's festivities. No weights and cardio for me today either. Tomorrow's a new day and a start of a new week :)
I definitely will!!!
You only met one... Imagine a whole group of them!! Our friend's dad (65 years old) came up and grabbed my butt and said,"Ohh I'm sorry" and started laughing. They all are drunk and the men are BAD!!!!!! Scorpio would love them!!! She's worried about guys talking to her chest... Well.... Honey you see no eyeballs talking to them only the crown of their heads!!!

Note: Wear turtlenecks!!!

Glad you had a great evening haven't been to your log yet but hope the date went well?!?!
