So She has one more thing going for Her! Great news! Thanks Shadow! The Shadow said:I talked to her last night.
She seems very calm and confident - which is EXACTLY how you need to feel on stage.

We were long gone from Outback when you called... I had the blue cheese crusted steak, 2 sweet potatoes with brown sugar and butter, 1/2 lb crab legs, 2 side salads loaded bleu cheese dressing, and one of the bread loafs, and 1 glass red wine. Went to the club had a double jack and diet and Danced, danced, danced. Stopped by the store on the way home got a jar of PB (Reeses creamy), and chocolate PB ice cream, a king size Symphony bar (SBT went and got 4 me) and Scorpio bought a bag of kettle chips. So I had some symphony bar, 1 cup ice cream, about 3 or 4T PB, and a huge handful of kettle chips

You would think how the heck did she eat all that... well I feel like a million bucks right now. I got it out of the system and it totally hit the spot! Today we are all hitting Cracker Barrel for breakfast probably just get some oatmeal and fruit and turkey bacon or something like egg beaters. I'm so excited to make some of the new healthy recipes I have discovered, and I'm ready to get back into the gym and revise a new leg and butt plan that I can add some serious muscle on with.... Any ideas all?!?
Overall I'm glad to have done this and think that it only helped give me a starting point now that I can work from and contiune competing against myself. I'm not at the point where I would even think about being competitive against other people because I know I have a lot of work to do. Posing and stage presence I totally suck at and know that this is one areas in need of diar improvement. Heck at least I didn't get 6th... and now I have a place that will be my baseline that I can improve from and hopefully do a lot better next year
Ohhhh and if you didn't know I took 5th out of 6 ladies in the tall division.
Thanks to all who supported me durng this time, and to those who traveled all the way here that I got to meet in person. I had a blast yesterday and you all made it 1,000 times better then Icould even of imagined the day would be
Alright so now I'm going to have a 2007 log.... To be continued

You were 1-2 easytreilin said:Well on these shots I don't have the girl that took first... she is off to the side. She had her hair down straight, green suit in one piece, black suit in 2 piece, boob job, very thin... Didn't look very muscular at all. In the short class the winner looked like she could almost cross over into bodybuilding to me, and when judging went on her suit was actually jacked up on stage. That was the lady who took overall. I couldn't tell you why I got 5th... Besides the fact that I was VERY uncomfortable on stage maybe I was doing stuff that I didn't realize... WHo knows. Again I did this for me and am not focused on placement... if I were I would have been let down totally!!!
From what my trainer and most people have told me I should have at least been in the top 3... Who knows![]()
Acting like the 'trainer' ...
*Bunny* said:You were 1-2 easyActing like the 'trainer' ...
I am thrilled that you are keeping a level head about competition & what you really accomplished by doing this ... you already know I could NOT
You are absolutely right about the short class overall ... more bb like & definitely looked like she was wearing a thong. She looked great though, I'll give here that... almost too good to be 'natural' since this was a tested show. But I don't even wanna question that b/c I would hate if someone said that about me ... ya know?
And Treil even the girl that won ... I still feel you were top 3 easy ...

treilin said:P.M. 1 hour LSD cardio, mow lawn if it drys out
I totally see what you are saying... I guess I'm struggling with looking at how many cals I was taking in and the amount of activity I was doing... and then to tally just stop doing all activity but keeping my cals even at a bit of an increased balance that I may start packing on weight. The cardio was more for like what you are talking about... to get rid of the excess water and help with circulation. Also, I personally feel better doing it. I don't feel taxed, I don't feel sore, I feel refreshed and revitalized. I'm also not going to be hitting the gym 'real' hard until mid-september. I know some people say the best gains are right after a show because of the insulin sensitivity... but I think I will take a break... add in some pilates, hit weights maybe 3 or 4 days a week for the next 4 weeks before I leave out. I am also formulating a plan for muscle maintenance to do while I'm over there. Sprints, plyo work, etc..superqt4u2nv said:Doing very well T only 5 lbs from the show weight that is awesome. Just my 2 cents but you should let your body rest I know you don't want but it has takin a beating. To help with excess water you are holding you could hit a steam room or sauna for 20-30 minutes a couple times this week also get a massage one week of rest really will do you well.
The body needs rest even if it feels refreshing. LOL This is why I suggested the sauna steam etc. I took a full week off. Kept my diet pretty tight more carbs and cals higher but fairly clean. The week I went back my strength was sick it felt fantastic to be repping big numbers again. I come from a very different background then most of you I did PLing for about a year before focusing on competing and body building. If you want to build muscle you need to be lifting heavy surpassing your numbers in the major lifts (squat, DL and bench every week ) strength gains = muscle gains plain and simple. I suggest looking into DC training if you are looking for a change.treilin said:I totally see what you are saying... Then when I get back it's all out balls to the walls weight training again.
I need to look at some new ways of doing weights to shock my system. My trainer like I said has a few ideas but his plans are very black and white more old school approach... I need to freshen it up a bit.
Also, they are opening a new gym not even a 1/4 mile from my work and it opens while I'm in Europe.. so I think I'm getting a membership there and will have a new gym with everything new to start back in.
Nope totally understand about lifting heavy... Not really looking to do that till I get back mid-september = 'balls to the walls'superqt4u2nv said:The body needs rest even if it feels refreshing. Go straight to the source http://dc-training.blogspot.com/ from the Dogg himself.treilin said:Nope totally understand about lifting heavy... Not really looking to do that till I get back mid-september = 'balls to the walls'
I'm not 100% familiar with DC training but will read up on it more. I found an article on Bodybuilding.com
I'm going to look at what I have done in the past as to when I saw gains, or how I felt to kinda help me figure out what I need to do next go around. I can definitely tell which exercises I can 'kill' and which ones feel like I'm just going through the motion.
I'll do that! Thanks girliesuperqt4u2nv said:Go straight to the source http://dc-training.blogspot.com/ from the Dogg himself.
Well he wants me to work backwards through my weeks take week 13 this week, then week 12 next week... and slowly progress back to a reasonable calorie and macro balance... Umm I am not doing that 'cuz I leave for Europe in 4 weeks it's not feasible to be carrying chicken egg whites, and turkey all around Europe.. I can do tuna packs... protein bars, powder, etc...WoNderWoMan25 said:Food is looking good! Eat if you are hungry!
What did your trainer say about diet/cardio?

Thanks for your changenikkita said:I agree with Superqt4u2nv... since your body has been under lots of stress it is better to let it rest, although your metabolism now might be so high that you may feel hyperactive.
Letting your body rest for a week will help recovery so that when you hit the iron again you can truly make gains.
Last year I made the same as you're doing now (not taking time to recover) and I found it so hard to get back into my offseason weight again, it took me about 2 months.
If you're worried about getting bloated (since I don't know how much your depletion took) gradually make your carb load for this week so that your body gradually adapts.
My 2 cents.
Well babe we are sitting close to 90.. 87 degrees and the humidity is a steamer!!!
