Since most people don't know the actual names of muscles, I will start adding muscles into my log with a brief description like the action, insertion, origin, synergists, antagonists, injuries, stretches, and strengtheing exercises, etc... Maybe even a picture ;) This will also help me keep up to par on them!
So I may take a group and do a group a week... Because if I only took 1 muscle a week yeah we would be here for a long time. So.... Starting this week I will post them in my daily log and then have it there for the duration of the week.

you are such a nerd.....

If you have any questions just ask about terminology o.k. ;)

GROUP 1 = Quadriceps

MUSCLE Of the Day
RectusFemoris.jpg

Rectus Femoris
– one of the four quadriceps muscles, it is located on the anterior femur and is the longest and most anterior of the quads. It is a compound muscle – crossing both the hip and knee.

(Where the muscle originates)
Origins = Anterior Head - AIIS (anterior inferior iliac spine) Posterior Head – upper margin of acetabulum

(Where the muscle Inserts)
Insertion = via Patella & its ligament to tibial tuberosity

Actions = Compound Muscle: Extends leg at the knee
Flexes thigh at hip

Synergists = These muscles assist Rectus Femoris
In Leg Extension: Vastus Group
In Hip Flexion: Iliopsoas, Sartorius, semitendinosis

Antagonists = These muscles work against Rectus Femoris
In Leg Flexors:
Hamstrings, Gastrocnemius
In Hip Extenders:

Nerve Supply = Femoral Nerve: L2-L4

Associated Trigger Points = At superior musculotendonous junction - and can refer pain to the entire anterior thigh, but most especially near the knee

Stretching = Standing Quad Stretch w/ hip extension emphasis

Strengthening = Squats and Leg Press
:)

HAD TO bump it to the new page :coffee:

Love it :nerd:

AUGUST 4, 2006
Mood = Feeling Good TGIF
Body Soreness =Feels like someone slugged me in my left arm (shots), tenderness in Obliques. Leg soreness will be coming in a bit later.

Cardio = A.M. Cardio HIIT,. Felt mediocre at best. I had it on the highest did it to the max. but still… Didn’t take any Cardio Breeze beforehand today either. Had enough energy = SLEEP.

Food
2 glucorell
M1
4 oz. chicken with some rub junk, 1/4C oatmeal, 1 splenda, coffee, 1 creamer, 1 splenda, 1/4 C cheese
(supplements = multi-vit, ginseng, triflex, saw palmetto, DHEA)

M2
Snack = 1 serving almonds

2 glucorell
M3
4 oz. chicken with some rub junk, 1T olive oil, 1oz. ww pasta
(supplements = calcium/magnesium, vit. C & E)

M4
1 scoop protein, 2.5g glutamine, ½ scoop NO2 mix, amino acids
1C Apple

Weights = Chest and Lats

M5
1 scoop protein, 2.5g creatine, 2.5g glutamine
1 scoop powerade

M6
1 Snack = 1T ANPB

M7
4 oz. chicken, 4 oz. Turkey, onion, lettuce, mushroom, pickles

M8
5 egg whites with mrs. dash and onion, 1T ANPB

Bed

Macros = 1778 cals 178P/70F/107C (g) 41P/37F/22C (%) (13g fiber)

Notes =
-Coffee syrups still not in :(
-If you are wondering what the NO2 mix is.. It is Anavar but it’s not the steroid.
http://www.911healthshop.com/anavar.html (I did not buy it here and I got it for like $36 and yes it’s the same one not the cheaper one listed)
It has creatine and NO2 in it, but like 1/3 the cost. I only do ½ a scoop and I am feeling the benefits, besides a full scoop is REALLY strong orange tasting. ½ scoop with vanilla tastes more like a orange julies (spelling). I am only taking it pre-work-out.

Ab routine Yesterday:

2 sets each (not Super setted), 30 sec. rest between, except bridges just flipped back and forth

Knee -in's (To failure)
Partial Sit up's (To failure)
Lateral Bridge (To failure)
Vacuums (TVA) (30 sec)

Thinking about teaching at the school... The director had her secretary call me today and ask again. She was dissappointed when I told them I was too busy at the beginning of summer and said no. So... I think I'm going to have a hard time this winter if I don't fil it up with some stuff to do... and this way I won't have to go back and pay for continue education credits I'll get to claim the classes and go back through them for free!! ;)

Good morning, I hope your not getting sick! Could it be from the shots, you know how you get a little of what they give you??

Yeah I was thinking that... I've been just getting random sicknesses, pains since the competition. Nothing real severe.. just like icky feeling, stomach ache, or back ache... not to many headache's. Bloated like a moose right now. Though I think it's due to the food's. I have added in some dairy which I haven't really eaten in a year (cheese, yogurt, sour cream, SF pudding), and still I don't think I drink enough water. Besides the cheese which probably raises my sodium intake I have trying been watching any extra salt added.
So I'm taking dairy out again sticking with my calcium/magnesium supplement, May take my sodium free PB out and just stick with almonds.
Just to try and get some of this uncomfortable water weight off.

In laymen terms:
DHEA is a precursor to the other hormones utilized in the body.
If you have enough of a precursor then your body can keep the hormones stabilized. If you are lacking in precursor then you can't quite keep the hormones stable and may not see the progress you are looking for. It also helps specifically for me because my hormones were way out of whack for quite some time. I was recommended to take this by my friend who is a doctor.

Interval training currently is on the treadmill and Step mill. Just high and low intervals to get my heart rate up and down. Intervals are for like 20 minutes straight.

I personally don't tell anyone to take 'X' supplement because I'm not a doctor and I feel everyone should do their own research and determine if it's right for them... So I'm not going to say YES go out and buy it and take it.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

i know right??

the only product that ever worked for me was called the gh1000 program by iron curtain labs. and that is when i first started working out so it was prob more of me progressively getting stronger...but the routine that came with it was great.

no pb disasters lately...maybe tonight :chomp:

So I guess that could be another reason I'm unapproachable (right SBT) Maybe I need another Dr. Phil hour long session with the ex-trainer... :argue: Telling me I need to smile more...
