I stand corrected.. California Supreme Court abolished the death penaly in 1972..that is why Manson is serving a life sentence. However, it was reinstated in 1977 and the first execution since was in 1992. But minimum age for it is 18...we can only hope he is tried as an adult.

Let's just be happy he didn't make it to the border. There's at LEAST 4 cop killers who are in mexico -- the feds KNOW where they are, but mexico will refuse to hand them over, cuz 1) they're mexican and 2) they could face the death penalty. Kid or no kid, anybody who kills somebody in cold blood, especially a police officer doing his job, should get sentenced to death immediately. I feel no remorse, regardless of him being a minor. he is old enough to understand what he did, and as he grows, it would only get worse. No jail sentence for life. I personally do not want to pay for that piece of shit with my taxes. Not all police are saints, but most of these guys do care, and try to do their jobs. We should hope the bad cops get weeded out, and eventually taken care with by their own system. They want bad cops off the street as much as we do. Again,...this kid,...No pass go, no collect free parking, for this clown, ...straight to the fucking chair, gas, or injection. Whatever is cheapest for Mr./Mrs. John Q taxpayer. When did this ever happen 25, or 50 years ago, like it does today? If it did, it was a big deal because it did not happen often. Today is rediculious, no wonder kids are the way they are. Today's kids are smarter, more devious, and more downright disrespectful than ever. Most of these kids need to have their dad's/ parents take out the stap, beat the shit out of them, and learn respect. If they have no dads, let somebody else do it.

I think we need a "Charles Bronson" type vigilante, to deal with these assholes like in his "Death Wish" movies. He can get some fed up people around the community, and knock these fuckers off.
