Did my first WSB training tonight (ME lower) man did I get some strange looks when doing pull throughs :) This is a gym where I've only seen one person ever even do squats and they only went down like 2 inches and used the smith haha

Is there an alternative exercise I can do for reverse hypers?
 
In most cases, the pullthrough is what people have substitute for reverse hypers. You'll have to go with regular hypers I guess. I assume you want two exercises for your ham/glute/lower back region. Go with pullthroughs and glute ham raises, also stiff leg deadlifts are a good substitute, I just don't know how they would fit in with WSB training.
 
you could work in sldl's in your me lower day. are you doing gm's? in my opinion thats the best thing for lower back. if u just wanna use bodyweight u can do rev hypers on alot of things w/o having the bench for it.

Yup, Kingc hit it right on the head, I could care less if they were giving me weird looks, it was the reverse hypers, I was following the 9 week, I was following the beginner wsb so tonight what I did was

Monday - Max Effort Lower Body Day
Box Squats 3 sets of 5 (3-5 warm-up sets)
Good Mornings 3 sets of 5 (3-5 warm-up sets)

Pull-Throughs 4-8 sets of 8

Pull-down Abs 3-7 sets of 8
Hanging Leg Raises 4 sets to failure
Reverse Hypers 4 sets of 8

Overall felt good pull throughs were the only thing I hadnt done before, I had put box squats and good mornings in my routine before this so I already felt good with my form etc on those two

Would sldl's be my best choice to put in here? ive done those in my last routine as well and I definitely like doing them
 
ya can pretty much mix it up however but if it were me i would just wait a wk or two whenever u feel like changin then switch out one for sldls for a while. thats what i like bout wsb , you cater to your weaknesses.
 
How do reverse hypers work your body differently than regular hyperetensions (those are the ones that are like reverse situps right?)? Or is it just that you can use more weight easily? I used to do those back extension things while holding weights...
 
i just use normal hypers in place of rev hypers.
