hi, im just starting the anabolic diet, got all the food down to a T. been having my protein shakes without milk, just water to avoud the carbs, has anybody got anything better to use, more milk like. any suggestions welcome.cheers
Instead of milk or water I use honey and apple juice. But that will add simple carbs. All depends on the time of the day you're taking it. If it's any other than post workout, then can be water but is disgusting.
Liquid Egg Whites.
I use 250ml (Roughly 8 egg whites I think), and 2 - 2 1/2 scoops protein powder.
Comes out pretty creamy and I really like the taste.
Ill have to try the egg whites, doesnt sound the best but would be ideal if it tasted even half ok. haha cheers, dont suppose there is any other suggestions ill let u know how i get on with the egg whites!
Frankly, I've discovered if you get an unflavored protein powder (yes you have to do some shopping around), adding that to plain water tastes a lot like skim milk.
It sounds like you're looking for protein without carbs or fat which isn't going to taste very good. You might be better off with needto's new GEAR capsules, which is the highest form of pure protein.
We had a hold up because of incorrect label information, (it's always something) but it's been corrected and GEAR should be available soon.
Lean beef aminos, egg whites are all options I use. My protein powders taste great and using water isnt an issue. And I NEVER recommend milk...its garbage.
