Propecia vs. proscar

this may be a stupid question but what is the difference between these two? Are not both made by Merck and both used to combat DHT. Please enlighten me........i am planning on using one during my next cycle but not sure as to which one and why.

I thought propecia was for combating baldness and proscar for BHP(a prostate problem).......Willy are you saying they are chemically the same so I should just use propecia since it is cheaper?

they are chemically the same, both are finasteride products.

proscar looks like it comes in 5mg pills, wile propecia is 1mg pills. That's the only difference between the two though, maybe there are differently dosed pills for both though.

Exactly. Buy proscar and split it up. Much cheaper than buying propecia.

Same thing. I take proscar for preventitive reasons. Much cheaper than propecia. Cut into 1/4ths with a razor. Might be kinda hard since the pills are apple shaped but try to get them even.
