Predisone and Gear

Im in the middle of a cycle that consists of Test, Deca, Dbol, Winny (not at the same time though) and Fina. Ive been breaking out the last few weeks (actually abou a week before i started th ecycle, im now in week 5). After failed attempts at curing the problem with B5, Zinc, Guggle, and Tea Tree, I had to go the dermatologist.

He prescribed me Accutane @ 40mg (no worries, Ive done 80mg ED of Acctuane before and never had any problems, and thats WITHOUT ALA, NAC, and Tyler Liver Detox, which Im using now). He also gave me a handfull of predisone. I think they are 2-5mg tabs? Im supposed to take 1 a day till the acne starts clearing up. Question is, how much is the predisone at this dose gonna hurt my gains? WOuld it have any adverse affects with the gear? Should I just ignore the predisone and wait for the accutane to kick in?

Prednisone is very bad. Its a cortico steroid, VERY catabolic to muscle and makes you fat!
Stay away from it. I dont see its use in treating acne........ acne is a little different from swelling...

Well, accutane usually takes WEEKS before it actually clears up acne. My dermatologist uysually treats me with his own stack. Think of accutane as Test Enanthate and Predisone as DBol. Predisone basically takes away the imflamtion of the acne within a day,so that it appears as if your healing. THen the accutane kicks in and the acne is relieved for real, the predisone is usually only taken for about 3 to 5 days, and keeps you clear till the time the accutane does its thing.

Ive used this "stack" a few times before and it always works. Accutane for the long haul and Predisone for the immidiate effect.

Yeah, I knew Predisone was catabolic. But I was more concerned over possible interaction between a cortico steroid and AAS.

I spent many months on 80mg/ed precnisone for swelling retna's, not fun. It bloats you, makes you eat like a horse, and yes it is catabolic. However, my situation was extreme and prednisone treatment started with a cortizone inj in the eye socket. My vision was on the line so I had to do it and had to stay on it for a long time. Most cases call for far less prednisone and for a far shoter length of time. Having siad that a normall couple week run with prednisone at 5mg or so wont have a huge(if any) bearing on your gains, especially if on cycle.

Zyg called it. I was on it for a couple of months and it REALLY
sux!! Very catabolic and bloats you like a mofo. I do remember
reading an article by Dan Duchaine about using prednisone as
part of a cycle though. It was in an old ironman mag I think. I
will dig it up and post it. I don't remember why he thought it
was a good thing to run with anabolics.

Holy crap Zyg...a shot in the eye???? DOH!!!! Im sorry you had to go through that shit. Reminds me of when I was a senior in high school some 7 years ago. I had REALLY bad acne then, and my doctor would inject EACH zit with cortisone!!!! Damn that was painful, but damn if it didnt take the inflamation away with in hours!

I was on prednisone a few times at very high doses....120mg/day. It's not fun to say the least. Once you get over 70-80mg/day, your covered with acne...COVERED! Not too mention the weight gain and bloat.

Yup, prednisone sux, but I have poison ivy extemely bad and I had no choice. I have gained about 10 lbs in water and fat in the last week.
