Poor lipid profile, low HDL? TAKE GARLIC!!!

Bumping this up as I just got Precyc blood work done and my HDL is low. I'm sure it's from L-dex but none the less, time to fix it. Will use garlic extract and nolva.

I don't remember where I have read it but someone said (either fonz or stonecoldNTO-on steroidology) that garlic loses its potecy to protect you after 6 months. not saying it was true but they were just saying that it was not a long term solution. if anyone remembers who said this I would appreciate it. thanks

are you sure they meant that your body stops benefiting from it after 6 months as opposed to garlic just losing it's potency after 6 months? if you mean the former i would be pretty shocked and love to these the research that supports that. that's just can't be as far as i'm concerned.

yeah I know I just can't remember who said it and it is bothering me now. i agree I am not sure how it was suppose to stop working but. I think they quoted a study but it is all just conjecture unless I can remember who said it. :D

Doc just called me to give me my #s and they're not that bad.

HDL 32 (should be over 40)
LDL 119 (should be less that 130)
Tryglycerides 135 (should be less that 150)

So not as worried. Will still use nolva an Garlic Extract. Doc new nothing of Garlic Extract helping HDL. Goes to show you can't know everything.

actually bro, as far as i know, it's inaccurate to say that garlic 'helps' hdl. garlic performs the same, or better, job that hdl does for what it does to protect us. so it would actually be more accurate to say that garlic does the job for HDL in its absence. hope that helps. :)

There are IMO much better herbs/food that will help lower Lipid profiles

Fiber (Especially Carrots)
Guggulsterones
Red Yeast Rice

Top Bottom
