Planning a day in DC

Any recomendations? Our familys going to Maryland, and we'll spend a day in DC. The age range is from kiddies to oldies.
One place on the must see list is the National Gallery, cause I get boner over old paintings.

1. Holocaust museum. Maybe a little hard for younger kids to understand) I loved it (the pile of shoes will make you cry)
2. National Museum of American History
3. National Air and Space Museum
4. National Museum of Natural History

That's how your rate em? That sounds like more than can be done in a day, are they close to each other?

holocaust museum for sure. That's only historical thing I saw when I was there. I had conferences so didn't hvae a lot of time but that was definately worth it

All the museums close at 5:30. So you're going to have a good part of your night free.

I give all the museums I listed a 10, but that is just me. You may think otherwise. There are more then what I listed. If you want to see everything in one day you better get up early and walk real fast. Some of them are close together and others are a nice walk.

You will have to go again, you missed so much.

I go every year. I was lucky to see the 911 museum, which is on tour right now. I am not sure if it will be put back in the smithsonian or not. That was a very hard thing to walk through. I am not sure I see one dry eye or heard anyone talking.

DC sucks, you can look at all the monuements on the internet without having to sweat your balls off outside.

go to baltimore aquarium since thats indoors, then take the kiddos over to ESPN zone right by and let them play some games, while u play too, i always play the quarter back game and throw the balls as hard as i can at the reciever player's heads and try and break the game and ruin it for everybody else.

or get high and go to the air and space or spy museum.

or if you wanna workout with me or have a meetup give me a let-know. we can work muscles together
