*PICS* From Colorado

Alaska is your future bro. Paradise. 70 below in Fairbanks

Already checked their school out. Great for geology and stuff relating to their location, but nothing in any area I would be interested in.

I wouldn't mind a place like U Oslo, but I would be apprehensive going somewhere without being fluent in their language.

What do you think of the Colorado School of Mines? That is a great school in the mountains.

Damn straight! There's so many schools out there that most people go by rankings and similarsuch. CU's always been second tier and never on the grad rankings for anything, so it (and schools like it) are easily overlooked without info from people that actually know the school. I'd definitely like to go there.

Seventy degrees, to me, is hot. Wisconsin summers are uncomfortably hot to me as well, lol. I don't know... I've always just had a thing for cold weather.

The coldest winter I ever seen was summer in San Fransisco.

At least there's someone who can relate! When I was competing and hit 225-230 in the offseason, I was sweating while walking through snow to class. I'm not as bad staying around 195, but I still don't put a leather coat on unless there's a frostbite advisory out or something, lol.

BTW, NPC makes superb jackets and coats that fit perfectly.

I HATED summers in Wisconsin.... The AC was on 24/7.

For Colorado, think Wisconsin temperatures - humidity. 90 degrees feels like 70 because any sweat evaporates almost instantly. Going from living in Wisconsin all my life, with its 90+% humidity to Colorado's ~20-30% humidity felt like a dream come true.... Winters can get cold, but not the bitter, damp cold like in Wisconsin. Usually it is around 30-50 degrees almost all winter, with the occasional week getting up to 60's or sometimes down in the teens. Still, no humidity, and that's what makes it so damn nice!! :)

I always disregarded CU as somewhere I'd want to go to purely because I thought it was bloody hot there. I've been told that Boulder is similar to Milwaukee area, so that's okay.

I've permanixed every school in CA and FL, I just abhor hot weather. I'm the type who'd be happy in Norway or Alaska, lol.

:cow:

Funny, living here all my life I'm counting the days until its warm again.

CU in Boulder has a lot of hot liberal babes too although that isn't the wisest criteria to use for picking a school... but if you do ... the poon is a plenty
