Alot of Mercs do have to hide their money, I don't know what the laws are in Aus, but I'd be willing to bet it's similar to the US.

You can't go and do Merc work over seas - killing people and interfering with governments etc and expect to come back to the US and not go to jail unless it is kept a secret.

In fact there are several cases were mercs that were clearly working at the pleasure of the gov were exposed but ended up going to prision anyway so the gov could have plausable deniability.

In '00 and '01, yep. Never got past lvl 33 though... I was a big EC slut. EC'I's economy belonged to us.

Bazaar ruined what little interest I had in the game, too. I found more interest in EC than leveling, as it didn't require stupid six to ten hour raids. I mean, the idea sounds cool and fun, but I don't have that kind of bloody time.
