Sorry to hear that bro, it sucks, somone commented on the sources packing, well that is not necassarily a factor in this, yes if your reciving paperbolics, but other than that i dont think it matters a dam, a source normally packs with the intention of getting it through customs, I dont agree that theres a good way or a bad way, i feel that its a random method that postal inspectors or customs use to check packs, i.e 1 in 100 packs is checked somthing like that.
Aslong as your man doesnt leave tabs rattling in strips and amps clinking together then I think thats prolly the best he can do.

The rest I would say is down to chance.

i got a letter from customs today that my gear was seized today. They gave me an address and send me an application if i wanted to claim, which obviously i won't. I wanted to know, Now that they have taken my shit already, Can i still expect a knock on the door. Any bros with seizure experience, please help me out

I've had controlled substances seized by customs before. i received a letter explaining that they had my stuff. it went on to say, in one of my letters, why it was seized. they then quoated a line fromn the FDA rules and regulations. or some kind of mumbo jumbo bs

on one occasion i had phoned, and asked about it. the lady seemed a little surprised that i even phoned. i asked her what they would be doing with it (sending it back) and she said it would be most likely destroyred. ie.. given to some lucky customs officer for there own personal use.

you are better off staying domestic when looking for illegal substances. that way, customs is one less threat you have to worry about.
