Thats true, so you could more accurately look at it as a percentage instead. Canada looks only at weight, not bodyfat percentage.

Agreed. BF% would be a much more accurate indicator of American fatness. And I think it would lower those numbers significantly. However it's not as easily gauged as simple bodyweight is. This not to say that the numbers would remain appalling, but at least they'd be more accurate.
