so you misinterpreted the lack of a comment in the original article as a refusal of Obama to provide comment at all, rather than the failure of the journalist to obtain a quote.

In the original article he was explicitly asked for comment and declined.

That was the entire reason for the post. He showed a sliver of restraint when it comes to commenting on his own people, but doesn't show the same restraint when it comes to other situations.

But alas, I have a solution. Let's add a little real-world financial risk to the wager.

1) We mutually agree to an escrow agent who will protect both of our identities. That's easily done.

2) Once an agreement is in place, we send them a little cash... I'm thinking something in the $5,000 neighborhood. We can do more if you want to make it interesting.

3) First one to break the deal gets the escrow.

I'm sure Need2 uses an attorney -- I'd propose he be the escrow agent.

I wonder if 5 months ago I had the choice between the down payment on the condo, which was 5k, or a bet with you....which one I would have chosen. Hmmm, dude....get off EF. I just proved i can leave for weeks at a time. The only reason you're offering a financial wager is because you know i can't put it up, therefore it gets you out of accepting.
