Precisely... yes... you hit it right on the head... As long as there is time, thought will always be circular, polar, and limiting. Thought and time are inextricably linked, I think one way time 'presents' herself is through thought.

Presenting, or coming to existance?... the thing is, time marches singleminded on a unidirectional path with each step privy to the next, whereas the stream of consciousness, comprising vast systems of flows in every possible direction, exists as a vessel of defiance to this fixation of time... however, is time not known as the conscious awareness of an interval defined by a past and a present? Thought gives us the concepts of "before" and "after", "cause" and "effect"... giving rise to the concept of "circular". The is probably just a restatement of an anthropic principle, where the connection between thought giving time meaning and time giving thought substance is at the most fundamental level.
