All you chikas are doing superbly in each of your own rights!
You all are at diff times and places in your training. While it is nice to put up your numbers and it is a must to gauge your progress this is not competition in any way, except that you are competint with yourselves.
So keep those impressive numbers coming and keep those impressive advances running.
YOUR ARE ALL GOLDEN!!

Thats awesome! Id be in heaven listening to all of those bands every time I was at work. I absolutely love music and have to have it in my life!! Love the thought of your job..very cool. I've been good. We took a 10 hour trip to Virginia to visit my mother-in-law. It was a good trip. We are just exhausted now! Well I am at least. Glad to be back. The thought of me going to the gym while out of town didn't go over very well.

Its gonna be interesting to see how long you stay the same with your 3 major lifts. In time I expect to see you kinda peter out on the bench and rows and for your squat to continue to improve 5-10 Lbs/ week.

Its ok to bend your knees and put stomach down on your thighs here sugazombie. That should help you some. Thats the nice thing about these rows, they get your from your ass to your trapa. Gr8 excersize!

Thanks Zed! ;) yeah I think you might be right my pb fro bp is 65k on smith machine so I am quite surprised at how well Im doint on free weight..Thanks really helpfuil on the row anything that could push me that extra bit is invaluable thank you........Ive upped my calories I added bread and pasta back to my diet something I gave up to loose bf but if im burning it off no harm I suppose :chomp:

But...factor in activity level...

These are their definitions:

  1. If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2
  2. If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375
  3. If you are moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55
  4. If you are very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725
  5. If you are extra active (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9
So...starting with #3

moderate activity would be 2257
very active would be 2548
extra active would be 2766

The sort of "standard" then would be to add in 500 calories for bulking/ take out 500 for cutting BUT personally, I'd start with a little bit lower, especially if you're not already eating at these types of levels. I'd start with 200 extra and go up by 100 increments, depending on my gains. Even just eating at the 2200-2500 is probably a good place to start.

Keep in mind, it's just a guideline and you know your body best!!

Yes cg you need to check red velvet out!! Do you like cream cheese type icing? Typically they some sort of cream cheese flavors icing. The only time I like cream cheese is on a red velvet cupcake!! Try one for me too
 
I never joke about junk food!!! :D

Snipes...you and I would get along just fine!! I thought I was the only one that would go to the store and grab a red velvet cake (well you made yours..but you bought another cake at the store) and sit down and literally eat the entire thing. Ok maybe there might be a few crumbs left!! I remember a lady checking me out at the grocery store one day and she said 'oh are you havin a party'...I was like yep..me,myself, and I! She thought I was kidding and told quickly corrected her and told her that I was goin home and eating that cake!

In about two min flat I had finished my 12oz ny strip and was looking around like a vulture for more food... They all looked at me... In fear their own fingers were in danger... I could eat anyone out of house and home... It's a gift haha

Haha that sounds like me last night. Granted I haven't been to the gym in a week so I shouldn't be eating much but...I went to a Japanese steak house with a mens softball team and devoured mine and got the guys leftover proteins. They were in awe that I ate so much. I find it humorous!!

Sugazombie what did you decide for your cals?
Whatever you decided on I think you should be a min of 500 additional cals. Your getting up into some good weights and you really will need those extra cals to build that muscle mass. We may go higher. Dont worry about puttin on a little bit of fat, as we can take care of that later.
So let me know plz.
 
Hey Zed. Sorry with Cg's help I decided on 2225+ 300 extra just for now and may add more if need be. ATM my appetite is huge so I'm loving it been able to eat big haha. Will It be good to eat pasta nd brown bread etc. thanks bro

Your already pretty lean sugazombie. If you feel you must then ok at 300. But then in 2 weeks add 200 more to get it up to 500. You will notice the diff very quickly in your workouts. Actually I would rather see you just go to 500 now.

Still slightly feel myself trying to straighten up even with knees bent n tummy to thighs its strange I feel like I need someone to push my back down lol. I still manage the weights but once I get to like 2inchs away from chest that's when I try to straighten lol. So I found if I put my legs further apart it helped !

Thats why you see most peeps doing bent over rows almost standing vert.
If your gym has mirrors use them. It helps a lot to actually see what you are doing.
When I do my rows my feet are much wider then my shoulders. And my knees are very bent.
So, when I am reaching down for the bar my back is parallel to the floor. For me this makes easy to hold that position. If I have to lean down to put that weight back on the floor I know I missed that rep.

I measured my forearms before and after work out lol just to see how much difference they were pumped lol sad I know but I was intrigued There was an inch difference thats crazy!

see zed we arent crazy!!! youre not crazy d, i did that to my legs last week to my quads when i couldnt fit in my jeans post workout in the morning and they were following off by the afternoon.

Hey chic I think he means as you put the bar down you still should be in same position you picked it up and if your to high that you have to lean further to put it down somehow you straightened up while lifting which shouldn't happen lol I think that's it anyway lol

Im still afraid that your restricting your food too much. From this point on you need to eat like a hoarse. Keep it clean but EAT it if it isnt nailed down or you are gonna stall out.
Get on 1.5-2 grams of portein per LB of body wieght NOW!

Thanks Zed much appreciated ......I bought some carbs powder form too that I can add to shakes I had a feeling that It may of been lack of carbs ...I will eat like there is no tomorrow from now on plenty pasta that should do the trick along with oats meat and shakes veg and fruit?
I must admit today was a killer If im honest I am a little disappointed but that makes me more determined to kill it next time .....

I think your right on the carbs. For the upcoming workouts you gonna need everything you can get so use it all. Lots and Lots of meat. Meat does wonders gurl. And REST!

Great workout D! Don't be disappointed....you are making great gains. I think a couple weeks into your cycle too, you'll notice those numbers going up more and an increase in strength! :)

Yeah CG I think I made the right decition to start when I did hopefully next week I will nail that session infact next week I will nail it lol.
I am so proud actually when I think bout it as dead lifts and squats are new to me at the start of 5x5 so I really have came quite far with them.

Just seeing this. I just downloaded Rihanna's new cd this weekend!! Haven't even listened to it yet!! I'm takin it's good if that's all you've been listening to!

I didnt have too many plans this past weekend. Went to a guitar recital for my stepson. That's was cool. I love music. I am trying to go through some
Things and pack. I am moving closer to Jen (mobile, al) in January. Graduated college in November and will do my clinicals at some hospitals in mobile for 1 year. Then I will be completely done!! So I'm having to figure out what I'm gonna pack and what I'm gonna leave. Funny thing is though I've already lined up a gym membership down there!! That was my first order of business!! Lol!!

I learned my self some guitar then lost interest as along with work and gym and spending time w my girl I kinda found my self neglecting the guitar do I sold it to a friend someone who will use it!
Think you will enjoy rihannas album I l0ve it.
Good luck w the move babe I feel there's nothing more stressful lol so you will be qualified after your placement?

Thanks D!! Yep I'm really dreading having to pack up and move and have things in 2 places. Its only 4 hours away from where I live not but not just down the street so it'll definitely be a move. After the year is up I will take a national registry test and become a registered diagnostic sonographer (person who does ultrasounds). I'm excited!

That's cool you played guitar! Way cool. I am self taught on acoustic. Like you I dont play it much right now.

i was way too busy with school and work at the time. and i had some really heavy furniture so it was worth the money in order to spend that time on other things.

I met my girl when I was out with an ex gilfriend lol then when we split a few months after I bumped into Elaine gave her my number lol it was in what we call the gay scene lol a bunch of pubs for the gays lmao in Newcastle ...I love her to bits she's a crazy lil thing only tiny but full of laughter and always joking and making me smile lol could even say yeah she cracks me up!! haha

Yep it will be a great job and I will make good money! So that's why I'm doing it. I was in sales for 10 years and when the economy tanked it became so unstable. Then I had a head-on collision and I knew life was too short. That I needed to be doing something I really enjoyed and not just hating life and my job!!

I think we are extremely clever..:us being able to teach ourselves!! Is there anything we can Not do!? Nope!! Lol!! We are the bomb!!

So glad you love your girl!! I can tell how much you love her in your posts!! That's very cool. I know all about the gay scene. Sounds funny i know. My brother is gay so I've heard my fair share!! Lol!!

I stopped after ten years. Too much liability. I had a civil suit filed against me in a case where I actually didn't do anything wrong. It took a long time before it went away.
I started at a club this year and stopped after the first night. People are so entitled these days. They don't think any rules apply to them. I couldn't stand it and knew I would lose my temper and regret it so I stopped.
I had a lot of fun over the years. I got to meet a few people from bands, some models and some porn stars. Lots of crazy stories. I probably shaved 30 years off my life!
 
Ten year Jesus that's a life sentence lol! I totally agree with you in this job were open to accusations and the thing is that I found when your accused of something your on your own most the time the venue and company that you work for won't fight your corner even knowing your right for the fear of loosing money it's all wrong . Lol models and porn stars what sort of venue were you working haha lucky you!. I do love the job I work more in event security now rather than door work which suits me better as music is my life.

took 20mg test p and 25mg winny before workout going to repeat before each workout so 60mg test n 75 winny per week also upped carbs in food and powder mixed wiv shakes . Pulled today off really well pleased with myself lol.
