never deadlifted

Phaded ive only been deadlifitng about 2 years now maybe even less..all i can tell you is i started in my basement with literally 50lbs..was it light? yes the reason was i was working on my form..once i had the form down i added weight if i got to a point where my form sucked i stayed at that weight until my form was good..dont be in a rush for a 500 DL your better off doing 225 with correct form..also i am not a fan of high rep deads unless they are done from a rack..i would keep your reps to 5 or less even if the weight is extremely light
 
That's great advice wnt2bbeast.

I recently got a form check on my deadlifitng by a veteran powerlifter and it was all messed up.

I've got the strength to pull 365-385 right now, but not the technique. Now that I know proper technique I'm hitting up sets of 3x4-5 with 235 and build it up 5-10lbs a week.
