Very sorry this happened to you...

To date I have had our house broken into when I was a kid and they took all my Mom's valuables and turned the house over like yours.

Had my apt. broken into, my cars twice, and our car spray painted with swat stickers in black (i'm Catholic)...

One of the car breakins was in the middle of a -10 degree cold snap around 3:00 in the a.m. on a Monday night???

I stood out the next few nights with a bat in my hand.

Again, sorry - people suck

Ty. I know the feeling of wanting to go back and wait for them. The thought did cross my mind...

imagine filing the insurance claim for

i've had something similar happen to me. it sucked and took me a long time to get over. I'm sorry. :(

:rose: thank you. I don't feel so bad anymore. I think most of it was the McDonalds. That was a bad move.

damn sorry to hear that girly, house insurance is fun to abuse lol

I have been burglarized before. I know how it feels it really does suck and you feel violated and unsafe in your one place that supposed to be the safe zone. They had taken things that meant so little to most people but the world to my ex wife and to see the hurt on her destroyed me. Even though she is a cheating whore still when I think about it, it bothers me to know end that they took things that ment so very much to her. I have owned a gun and an alarm system in everyplace that I have lived in ever since. And dont forget to mention the Picaso they took. Two entities that deserve absolutely NO love is the IRS and Insurance companies. They will do everything in their power to take as much money as possible from you but when its time to give back they will do everything in their power to not have to pay you for your loss.

When my husband's van was stolen we got it back pretty quick but the one thing he STILL mourns is his briefcase that had his grandmother's bible in it, which was actually written in Mohawk.

It's shit like that you can't replace. T.V., DVDs, clothing, toys, even documents can all be replaced, but it is SUCH a total fucking PITA, you have to protect your credit card accounts, shit like that (contact the three credit bureaus and inform them that your personal info has been stolen, shit like that ...)

I don't think I'm een ging to report it to the insurance company. It's more of a hassle than anything else, and quite frankly - what was taken wasn't worth that much. When Jeff gets home, I'll let him decide.

It could have been worse. Our house in Prescott has all our guns and artwork and stuff like that. (although most of it is in our safe.) It's why I asked my mom to live there.

You lost a Picaso? An original? Holy :cow: - that would suck.
