My daughter said she walked in on her mom and stepdad screwing in the kitchen.

I'd love to know in what manner she told you about what happened. She might have told you just to get you riled up about your ex - kids can be like that and if I recall you have already mentioned such behavior from her.
Somehow I doubt she's "gonna be damaged" because of this event even if your ex behaviors was well not in the best of taste. (At least she's married to the guy.)

It depends on the person of course. The big problem that might come out of this is, since it was`nt in the bedroom, your daughter MAY.... always be wondering when walking into the kitchen or any other room for that matter... "are they naked in there right now?" "Are they having sex right now?", as she walks throughout the house or something. Like I said, a bedroom is different but damn, if you go to get a drink of water or a snack in your own house and you see that, ESPECIALLY FROM a step dad and mom, you MAY feel unwelcomed to a certain degree. Sort of disrespected if you can understand what ZI`m saying.

My parents haven't had sex since early 1970, except for that time in 85' - and frankly know that to me is far more disturbing than walking in on the parents. I have a photo of my parents where their shoulders are actually touching, I believe that's the most affection I've ever witnessed.
