My Daughter is Getting A Learners Permit Do I have to Tell My Insurance Company?

curling

New member
She is fixing to get a learners permit where I or my wife have to sit beside her when she drives. Since we are in the car too, do I have to tell my insurance company she is going to be driving too? In otherwords will we be covered if she wrecks then?

Full Coverage - Yes
Liability only - No

Damn brother... I feel for you!!!

Ayayaya!!!

You know I have a 5 year old... your daughter is close to the dating age and all that shit that I'm not looking forward to.

A little off topic, is she your oldest or have you been through this before? I take it from your question, that she's your oldest. How do you feel about it her entering her teen years? Do you still feel nervous like you probably did when you were in my shoes... or is it all about how you raise them, and you not really fear it because you feel you've raised her well and in the end she'll make the right decisions?

Just curious.

With full coverage yes, she is technically the primary driver. It sucks but is true. Now if she was not a member of your household it would be different. But she being your daughter, I'm sure she is :)

Bro,

I am scared to death as a father. Especially since I was a teenage boy once, I am pectrafied(sp).

I have already had some trouble with her when she was 14 so I took her out of the public system and put her in a fundlementalist baptist private school. She since has changed and gotten so much nicer, modest and more respectful. Public school suck now dude. They(commy bastards like the ACLU) have taken God out of the schools and it shows. I mean she had friends that were doing shrooms and coke in the 6th grade. Man, I never saw a joint until I was in the eight grade. She had four friends that were pregnant in the seventh.

The best advice I can give you is put your kids in private or home school. Don't let the govt educate them. The govt is TERRIBLE at it. Spend the money it is worth every cent.

One day I hope we get vouchers so we can send our kids and our money to where we(as parents) see fit.

Amen to that curling!

5 siblings and a stay at home mom. Well, she worked but only during school hours and wouldnt if we were sick. We went to Catholic schools and worked at the school during the summer and school year to help pay for the tuition.

I have been to both and absolutely no one can tell me public systems are decent schools. Its ok to want a better life for your child. In fact its honorable.

I'm sorry to rain on your private school parade but, i attended an ultra strict and very religion orientated private catholic academy for 3 years of my adolescent schooling (7,8,9th grades). Private schools are not better then public schools, they are public schools with prayer and a religion class. Politics in private schools is ridiculous and the kids very often reflect the social standing in which they come from. The girls who attended this private institution were no different from the girls i met when i returned to public school system in 10th grade. Its not the school which causes people to change, its the kids deciding how they want to live ultimately.

(please note i attended a rich boy's private school lovingly referred to as Christian Brothers Academy, this is only my opinion of the private school system and may not represent the school in which your daughter is in attendance)

naturally anabolic,

I totally see where you are coming from I have heard about catholic schools not being much better than public(not all of them mind you but alot). That is why I would choose a strict fundlementalist Bible believing church. They don't put up with any crap but the kids love it. My kid can't wait to go to school now.
