Muscle memory

rrrr

New member
I just recently had an opperation(6weeks ago) still recovering and cant workout for at least another 4-6 weeks. I lost quite a bit of muscle during this time. Total weight loss was 13lbs. I've done a few cycles that helped me to reach a what I would consider a nice foundation. But since this surgery my body has defintely shrunk. My question is with the proper diet and training hard do you think I could get back to were I was without juice because of muscle memory?

Start over without drugs and you will be there in no time. Starting up with drugs as AAS is foolish in my mind, muscle memory is there and for me, after an accident that put me out of the gym for 15weeks, I worked it up pretty fast. I used this approach, a system that is very effective if you "once have been there and now want to get back up".

First week 3 day split
Monday - presses: Chest(bench), Shoulders(military press), Triceps(Dips)
Use these "presses", only 3 movements will do the job, too much work the first time will make you sick and out of the gym for like 2 weeks hehe

Wednsday - Back(Deadlifts), Back+biceps(Chins reverse grip), Hammies(SLDL). All pulls mostly(look at deads as you pull up the weight).

Friday: Squats, light chest like cable crossover, light shoulders sides, abs, calfs

Then take the weekend off, on the monday you start over with this program

Monday: Low reps: Incline Bench, DB shoulderspress, Sculls, Very Light Squats
Tuesday low reps: Rows, chins, bicepscurl, legcurls
Wednsday OFF
Thu: High reps: DB chestpress, side laterals, BB shoulderpresses, Narrow bench, Legpress
Friday high reps: Deads, DB rows, hammercurls, legcurls, calfs

I did something like this when I got back and it didn't take long before I was back. After the second week I had something like 4 days off before I started over. increase all the vitamines, protein and carbs, add BCAA and creatine and avena ssativa, ALA, and wehatever that will speed up the recovery from each session. I gained in 4 weeks about 14lb and not much fat either. The first 4 weeks I was able to put on a good amount of weight every session on each movement, mostly because of the muscle memory. It's like beeing novice all over again, it doesn't really care how and when you do it you will gain anyhow.

I wish you all the luck, happy recovery!

Thanks mrrttb. I'm gonna give that a try. Did you stick to the 2nd weeks rountine for the rest of the month?

Hi, sorry to hear about your op but believe me muscle memory is a beautiful thing. Do not use juice cos its just a waste, walk before you run.
I was off for 3months just chilling and wished I never took that much time off the gym cos I lost some size and alot of strength. Now I'm back and seriously thank god for muscle memory I was surprised after 3 weeks of training again my strength has gone up rapidly with the correct diet, sleep and supplements such as BCAA, glutamine, creatine and protein. My muscles have grown back to almost its normal size (since I keep track of my measurements from the beginning).

It takes a little time (maybe a month or two), eat, sleep train properly with the supplements I mentioned is all you need to get back what you have lost.

Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery and keep us posted on your progress.

peace :rainbow:

muscle is a stupid thing...

but it knows how to adapt!

so if its been introduced to trauma in the past, itll have a fairly easy time adapting the next time its put through trauma.

thus 'muscle memory'.

Damn, nice one bro, straight to da point! ;)

I wasnt considering juicing. In fact I dont think I'm ever going to juice again(long story, Iposted about it on here not too long ago). I'm glad to hear some positive feedback about muscle memory, I thought that just was some BS. Well I hope my muscle has some good memory.

I''m going to try some glucorel R and some Bcaa's. Anyone know who makes good quality bcaa's?

Prolab makes good quality BCAAs and I use that brand all the time.

oh please don't waste money on bcaa's in most protein shakes there are 25,000 mg of Bcaa's ,do the math-i did em many yrs ago and couldn't tell a thing.
you would have to take a bucketload to make a difference.

plus I find that when you are regaining weight you tend to overshoot your previous weight when using muscle memory. so train hard and you should be back up to snuff in no time.
