If you compete in something that is tested, you should stay natural. Especially in a sport like powerlifting where there are plenty of federations that don't test, and if you've ever been to a meet you know why. Its practically a requirement to be on gear to compete in these... And at the same time its a requirement for chemical free competitors to actually be chemical free.

And I can "put up" Zedhed. Ive been able to bench 350+ for over a year now and hit 225 for 24 solid reps at bw of 210 pounds on bench. And Im closer to 230 now... I can lift... trust me.

All this being said... Moya best of luck, impressive deads, now lets bring up that chest for your overall!
 
moyas dead and squats are infinitely more impressive than your average bench press.

For his weight his deadlift is impressive. But then again I've lifted with a kid who competed natural at sub 150 (And he was actually natural... didnt just compete in natural fwas pulling moyas max for triples, so im not exactly blown away. . Although... I've pulled 495 easily before, and I dont train deads that hard. I put up bigger squat numbers than moya during high school football.

today did fasted cardio... i do mine outdoors, thats why i never have a HR to post up... but i have a fairly good idea where it is at... 140ish... i do a walk, then slow jog, then a run, then walk, jog and then full on sprint and repeat...
legs were more achy from the cardio than the squats...
whats funny, is im happy with the way everything is looking, except for my legs... i was expecting them to lean out more like they have in the past, not sure whats up with that...

A thought for you on legs,
After your squat session drop the weight 50%.
Rip out a set of 25-30 reps, no lockout at the top no pause in the hole. Do this on your next several squat sessions. Methinks you will see a big diff in those wheels bro. Whatcha think? Oh and do them med speed not real slow but not quick either.:evil:
 
Legs are often the last to come in too....I've known quite a few guys who are in a panic 6 weeks out from the stage because of legs and then magically, they appear. Don't worry...they'll be there! :)
 
I was just gonna say that. You study enough competition bb pictures you know when someone is totally spot on by the ripped christmass tree lower back and the glute and ham striations.

One area I would recommend focusing on from a bodybuilding,recomping perspective is your calves bro. 2-3x a week calf raises for 3-5 sets will probably net you an inch by the time you are done.

i feel you on the calves.. i upped it to 2x a week for mine to get some attention, it's workin nicely. might move it to 3x a week as time goes on.. they're able to handle more work now, as that keeps happening i'll add more in there.

cable curls are great.. they're a good show-off exercise lol :)

first day of tanning went well, started with 10 min in a high pressure bed... services provided by Body Tropics salon, Oakdale, CA... skin looks more even colored, looking to get my skin as thin as possible so getting a head start here...
unable to get in fasted cardio this morning, furlow day at the public schools so i have all the kids this morning...
scored a box of organic grain fed beef steaks last night, they are somewhat fattier cuts (ribeye and ny) but i will take that into account and work out my macro's to fit it...
have one broiling right now as i type...
still feel a little cold in the head, spitting up some yellow crap this morning... it is hard for me to shake a cold while i work in the cold... looking forward to tomorrows workout regardless... wishing i could hit it hard every day, but i understand the importance of recovery...

im considering doing a powerlifting meet on march 26th in rancho cucamonga... USPA state championships, looking at entering the raw full power division... not sure if i should try and make weight @148 (drop water day before)... or just show up day-of and go with the 165's...

i will be in the area that weekend... me and my boy going to see the lakers play for our birthdays...

i have never taken vitamins or vitamin c... i will take a theraflu, mostly for the acetametaphin and decongestant...
honestly i dont really take much at all as far as supplements go... i am REALLY looking forward to trying out what needto is sending.... supposed to be starting the need2slin next week...
but i have rarely been one to go out and buy a bunch of supplements... i did when i first started working out like 8 years ago, but muscletec just ruined it for me...

she is more or less a runner and mostly is just going along to work the camera with me...
however... when she used to lift with me, she was repping out 135 squats, benched 135 for a max and easily pulled 225... she dosnt like to go heavy, thats all i could get out of her in about a year of training with me...
we cant realy work out together anymore because of the weight differences in our workouts, but we still go together for yoga and just to workout 'on our own, but together'...

whithout her all i have is chalk and hate...

I would get a gym membership but being military its kinda pointless to pay for something month when I leave often and the base gym is just way out of the way for me......

Moya, just having your wife there is a good thing. Back in the day my wife and I would goto the gym together and it made me try to do that much more weight, even though she could of cared less....Now She is about 25lbs heavier and has limited motivation.

We're gonna sidetrack the whole thread so first....go Moya!! LOL but it works the same on the flip side too. I'm single and it's hard to find someone who has a similiar idea about what training and eating healthy is. To top it off, if I'm training seriously, I'm not drinking much and that pretty much excludes most of the dating population. ive pretty much decided im going to do that USPA meet at the end of march... i will have to look to see when the deadline is to enter, still waiting on tax money, so as long as i get it in time im going to go for it...
im thinking by then i will easily be a solid 148 as im weighing about 153 right now...
i will be entering the open raw men's division... i will be changing up my routine a little to prepare... i will still be doing a lot of back work, and power shrugs, possibly rack pulls but i will be dropping deadlifts and squatting more often... my legs are looking great now too, so id like to see how far i can take them...
i will also keep benching 10x3, i like it and hopefully i can put up a PR bench...

That whole dam workout was nothing less then AWSOME. Destroya am happy that you are using and getting results from the 10 x 3. Good for you bro!

i have been working with those for a while now... im pretty confident i can attempt somthing safely before i try it... its not a weight i just picked up and used out of randomness because i thought i could get it... ive used the half stability ball in the past and actualy done sets of 3 with bw to work on balance...
iow, there are many, more dangerous moves i do then this lol...
somtimes i think that im not even all that strong, i just have really good technique that helps me lift just that much more... not saying im not strong, but i do think good form and technique can take you quite a ways further...

im loving the power shrugs... they are also supposed to be an assistance exersise for deadlift lockout... im going to be going as heavy as i can with these, grip will be the limiting factor, but it should get that stronger as well...
i refuse to use straps...

Dam destroya. Your workload is really paing off for you bro. Am way happy for you. Glad you like the power shrugs too. They really make you feel the POWER!
 
even if im at the upper end of 8% im happy... i have had this lower ammount of fat before, yet im holding quite a bit more muscle...
im thinking if i can maintain this bodyweight and still lose fat (which i believe im capable of) i will look spectacular...

breakfast...
8oz petite sirloin, trimmed as much fat as possible
1c skim milk with 1.5c whole wheat cereal
2 whole eggs
2 sclices krusteaz whole wheat french toast with some all natural honey
1/2L water

gonna work on getting in some more carbs for this afternoons workout... i consider it my cheat day, though the food is pretty damn clean, not really counting calories today...
believe it or not in those pics i was pretty carb depleted, as that was at the end of the day, after a long 12 hour shift at work with no carbs probably 6 hours before...
time to go hit up the tanning... having trouble finding a lotion that my skin likes... thankfully i have lots of different samples to try out before i choose one...
