Cardio Time!

Boxing

hit the speedbag
jumped some rope
hit the heavy bag

The above combined took about 30-35 mins. We got kicked out of the room by a arobics class that was coming in.

Today is a big deadlift day for me. I brought in the camera. Hope to hit high numbers today. BUT i know i have to hit 435x5 first before i worry about going for any singles.

Ok, ill try to explain...

decline bench...

lay flat, wrap the bands as if they were a backpack straps. My decline bench is good because the band actually catches something lower then the actual bench.

but i strap up like as if i was putting on a backpack and go to town.

since im bringing in vids of the dl ill hook up the decline bench for ya
 
ah deadlift wednesday. good luck on the 500, i lost 5k greenies but i still want something. i am going for my first max deadlift today also, although i am aiming for 320-350. what do you (or anyone else reading) think is the best warm up for a max dead/squat/bench/anything? i was thinking something like 5 reps at low weight (135) then one of like 225, 275, then try something like 320 (max) then maybe move up from there (340 and so on).

upped my cals to about 3200 minimum, i just dont stop eating. I bet thats helping with recovery.

But im almost at week 9. cant believe it went that fast already huh

My goals are to bulk in the winter and just be a pure monster come summer.

OK I think I gotcha - we've got such crappy decline bench resources at my gym that I was wondering what you were using.

Good luck on the 500 bro. At my old shop the 2 guys I worked with ALWAYS said I was on juice and woudl ask me to hook them up. Not because I was rippped jsut because of strength and size. Its a great feeling. lol. Cant say I dont now :) .

Hey all! Log update.

Whats up all! I totally went off the 5x5 today. Only because my boy was working and he brought in his sqaut suit, and i have been bragging out how all my maxes went up, so he wanted to see what i had...

I have them on camera, i just slept over my GF's yesterday so i couldnt upload the movies.

Sqaut:We used the bar that weighed 55lbs.

235x3
319x1
353x1
407x1 - NEW PR ( SUITED - Got as low as the suit would let me )
451x0 - Missed, Fell too far into the hole, needed a tap to get through sticking

But shit 407 suited is preety damn good if u ask me. I bet i could have hit 425 easy. I was just tying to conserve some energy for the deadlift.


Deadlift: Used the 2.5lb collars. Still suited up used suit on the 485x1

485x1 -New PR (suited)

I nailed 485lbs. Went up quick too. Suit was so damn tight, im gonna have to buy my own, the legs were way too tight. I got the bruises from them already.

When i realized it wasnt 500, i went for it again but i had no gass. i had it off the floor (prob because of the suit) but couldnt lock out.

I bet if i just DL'ed today i could have hit well above 500 it just felt so easy going up for 485lbs.

Incline Bench:
70x5
80x5
90x5
110x5 - Solid 5 Reps. New PR. Will do next week @ 110 again tho, just to get my form perfect.

Felt good to not go with the usual 5x5 plan yesterday. I miss maxing out and training for my 3rep range. Next week ill go back and hit 435x5 for my last set of deads.
