minimizing injection pain

Hmm..ill try the hair dryer next time. I never really get any pain in the glutes, but a couple days after my first 2 quad shots, i got that dead leg feeling. Is that general soreness from the shot? It goes like throughout the muscle, so I was thinking it was the test in there, which would be good to know so at least Im sure its legit... but what exactly does cause the pain?

Ive read that it is not a good idea to message the area after an injection - this is contrary to what I had read previously...?
any thoughts?

Where have you read this? There are very few injections you do not massage. These are medicines used in hospitals. I have not used them in a long time so I cannot recall the drug.

If it is an oil based solution then it would benefit you to massage it to disperse the oil lump you just created.

I have used a massager after injecting thicker gear and it seemed to help.
