hard times for me would be only being able to do 10 reps on the bench at 225 pounds instead of 12. jk jk.

as long as i can live comfortably i have nothing to complain about. that means being able to pay my mortgage, and other bills and still have disposable income to spend on shit like sporting events, travelling etc. and still have enough leftover to stash away.

I will tell you young guys something.. no matter how much money you make, don't live outside your means. there is no need for a flashy car and a gigantic house. just live a modest life cause you might have a crummy year and quickly deplete your savings. who cares if your friend who makes half your salary has a BMW and you have a toyota... or your other friend has a 6 bedroom house and you rent

VERY few people who are Glad's age and in his situation (single/not married, not financially independent, unfinished education, etc) would every TRY to have kids, and there's a reason for that. I think CW is simply trying to show examples of why that is.

Having said that, since Glad DOES have a kid, I'm happy to see that he at least right now, has a positive attitude about his situation and he's trying to make the best of it (even if we all don't agree with his methods). He has good intentions. And that's important.
