If they were in your house, I think there should be every excuse to blow them away. In your car, I think you should give em a warning shot, and should have to try and hit non-vitals. Also you should definately be responsible for any collateral damage.

Sounds logical right, but according to some states the thief can sue the person for shooting them even if they break into your house. Messed up yet true. He will be a victim becasue he will have to retain a lawyer and be mentally drained from this unfortunate event.
