Mc Donald's Big Mac

540 calories, 260 carbs, 29 grams of fat, 25 grams of protein.

So, they got one of these Mc Donald's right next to my gym. 3.75 for two of these big macs.

I've been getting the 2 for a few days now everytime after i lift and eat it for a PWO meal.

I KNOW its bad. I KNOW you dont want fats like this after working out.

I need someone to verbally kick my ass and tell me to stop doing this. While you're at at explain to me why I shouldn't drink beer and eat all around shitty.

I get good calories in, 4 - 5k with high protein...But I'll admit my diet has gotten bad lately.

If anyone is bored, verbally kick my ass please.

THANKS

Post a picture so we can see where them Fat Macs are goin

It's interesting that people often say "I dropped maccas" and feel so much better.

No doubt for most people u'd look better dropping maccas. But perform better??? Michael Phelps, Rafael Nadal, and many other pro athletes have low bf (of course b/c of their energy expenditure) but also very high energy and performance levels despite of eating a lot of shit.

Well if most peoples jobs were to train all day everyday and rest only to supplement their training...then they could eat tons of crap all the time.

And yeah genetics too.

No, I think my point was missed.

Of course the reason they can eat shit is that they do endless cardio.

But it's just interesting a number of athletes eat shit and it doesn't effect their performance. I guess my question is from a performance perspective, if cals in = cals out, and RDI's and protein requirement are met, how much does quality of food (forgetting total extremes like trans fat) really affect atheletic/exercise performance

Yeah thats a good point. But how "crappy" are these guys REALLY eating?

Only one I'm semi familiar with from your example is Michael Phelps. He eats a lot of food, but, it's not terrible. If you swim all day and eat pizza a lot is it THAT bad? Pizza has quick digesting carbs, tomatoe sauce and lots of protein from cheese.

I think he also eats a lot of burgers, steaks, fries and some other stuff. It all seems like quick acting fuel to me.

Like they say, the only time you can eat like a "fat guy" is post work out. Well half of the day michael phelps is in post work out mode since he exercises religiously multiple times a week, multiple times a day.

The problem with fast food is the addition of garbage preservatives, the lack of vitamins and minerals found in that horrible hamburger bun bread, and the amount of cholesterol and trans/& saturated fats.

I would beg to argue that eating clean will help performance quite a bit. But, on a highly significant level, maybe not so much.

Overall health will affect athletic performance for sure. How much, I can't really say.

a young skinny guy with a super high metab. who is trying to build miscle will need to eat foods similar to this they want to gain. high cal, fat, carb, prot all in one little meal. sometimes its the only way.

exactly what im doing. if i eat all lean shit im not gonna grow. too fast of a metabolism. i need the mcdonalds once in a while. and i loveee me some big macs:p
