Been too long since you guys have had one of these.

Fishing, caught a spotted bass. Fishing is a new hobby of mine. Mostly catch and release, I keep rainbow trout if they are a decent size (to eat) and if I ever snag a halibut from the ocean or even yellowtail I'll be keeping those (again to eat).

Nice feesh

That's an awesomely fun hobby
Yeah man, I used to fish when I was a kid, before high school, but I was self taught and used to catch bluegill, trout, or anything else that would take a salmon egg.

I was out snowboarding this season and took one day off to fish some high altitude streams full of rainbow and brown trout (some golden at higher elevations). It was a blast and got me hooked!

I got a boat now too so I can fish the bay/ocean. Some good bass in there and a dozen other species most of which put up a good fight.

Right on!

I fish with my old man weekly. It's like our Sunday ritual. Good times.

We caught these sea trout last weekend.

cool! do you eat them? I've never caught a sea trout before. Only rainbow, brown, brook... still hunting for the elusive golden!

These particular fish were dinner. I stuffed them with crab cakes and then baked. So delicious :D

I have to be in the mood the eat fish. We typically release more than we keep.

I've never caught any of the fresh water variety of trout. They aren't native to Florida. Every time I go to my aunts in the mountains of NC I plan to fish for them, but it never happens.

it's my favorite sandle_sock'r!!

Where exactly? We've got 142 acres in Hot Springs

Now that sounds like it probably would be pure water, rather than polluted with run off like 70% of the freshwater in our country.

yeah the high mountain water is from snow melt so its usually pretty good.

GF is cute broldilocks. I love fishing but suck at it.
Fishing is like playing a slot machine, its mostly luck and you never know when you'll hit the jackpot.

There is some skill involved with certain types of fishing, but some days the fish are just not biting, or picky about the bait they will take. You may hit a feeding frenzy one day with a particular lure, then go months without a bite in the same spot with the same lure. Frustrating, but also what keeps people coming back for more.

ah, fishing.... do you have a boat, lestat?
I share one with some friends, we split all the costs. A bayliner capri, great for wakeboarding, ok for fishing. Not the most suited for open seas, but great on the bay here. No live bait tank or anything but I prefer lures anyway.

Me with the drummer from Mastodon, Brann Dailor.

So weird Lestat!
I went to see Mastodon twice in the last 2 years, first time I saw them I never heard of them, second time they opened up for Alice in Chains and I was hooked...we also met Brann outside before the show(great guy) ONE OF THE SICKEST DRUMMER!!!!!!!!!

BTW I also just took up freshwater fishing last spring and love it (smallmouth and LMB)

Freaky ironic bro

goodbros think alike!!

I had heard about Mastodon for years, but they opened for my favorite band, Tool, on some European dates and that made me check them out. I loved their last album, Crack the Skye, and it got me listening to all of their releases. Really good, talented guys.

I like how you can catch these guys before or after their shows. I saw Brent Hinds before a show here in San Diego, and my buddy in Philly saw him at a bar after their show.

Brann is an awesome drummer. He did a joint drum off thing with Danny Carey from Tool last year as well in LA.

Hope all is well with you man!

wicked pics man

I love the nude shots of his wife though! I'll excuse a little bad bro behavior if he keeps posting them up!
