I've been wearing glasses since the 4th grade..... It's awkward getting use to having them in my eyes but I LOVE THEM already!! I go back in one week for a checkup to see how me and the contacts are getting along;) and then im gonna order some that'll change my eye color to blue.... the chicks better watch out at the beach this summer.... All cut up, no glasses, blue eyes..... :)

no point to this thread whatsoever.. sorry

Been in contacts since 1978.... Day wear disposables so I take them out at night and put new lenses in once a month or 2.
I remember when I went to the Dr office to get new glasses in 78 and he said let try contacts. He put numb drops in my eyes, put in the contacts and said walk around outside for a while..

I was SOLD immediatly.

Take the lens out in the evening and give your eyes a break for a few hours.
They need air. This is what keep my glasses for.
Keep them clean just like your teeth. If you are lazy with this routine you will have problems.

You may have days occasionally when the contact's bother you even years from now.
Get through it. Don't puss out and give them up.
It's usually dust or pollen but it feels like sand in your eyes.

Contacts are a worthwhile investment. I have been alternating contacts/ glasses for about 10 years now.
Contacts are convenient for certain activities like when I go skiing, swimming, or in the shower (so I can see my legs when I shave them...YES I am that blind!!!)
Now, I just mostly wear my glasses because I finally got a really trendy pair. Plus, my eyes sometimes dry out from contact lenses so glasses are sometimes better for me.
I once bought a pair of violet lenses...I looked weird, so people told me.

Congratulations on your contacts!!
