Think about how hard YOU worked, how far YOU came, the fact that YOU worked your ass off ALL YEAR LONG
I don't want to sound b!&**y.....BUT you shouldn't feel bad.
This is a sport (where everyone who 'plays' gets judged) It's not your fault that you placed better. If anything, she should be talking to you, asking help & ideas from you.
I undersatnd she is down at the moment, but it's not very fair of her to ingore you.
I hope she cheers up, so you don't feel uncomfortable at your gym.
Sorry, I don't have any advice how how to approach her - I just want you to know you shouldn't feel bad.
